Mel V's Variant Picks of the Week for Delivery 4/6/16

What’s up CHU, Mel V back with another great week of comics and variants. Variants do carry risk, some go up, some go down, but as long as you are buying art that you like, you can’t go wrong.
Another small week for me, but let’s jump right into it!

Miss Fury Vol 3 #1 Cover D Incentive Jonathan Lau Virgin Cover-I must admit pretty darn cool cover,very dynamic,that’s what caught my eye

Black Panther Vol 6 #1 Cover D Variant Brian Stelfreeze Marvel Hip-Hop Cover – I have been waiting for this cover since I first saw it.  Jay Z Black Album Homage, and this will be a nice addition to my COMPLETE set of Hip Hop Variants

Black Panther Vol 6 #1 Cover L Incentive Alex Ross Variant Cover– The Big boy Variant of the week 1:75. Did that many stores order 75 copies of Black Panther? it is very possible. Solo movie coming out soon..this could be a keeper
 

Bruce Lee Dragon Rises #1 Cover B Frank Cho– Frank Cho delivers a pretty cool looking Bruce Lee variant..the premise of the books seems interesting enough for Bruce Lee fans like myself to pick up a copy

Empress #1 Cover B Variant Stuart Immonen– New Mark Miller Marvel book..most likely will see some sort of media deal like 90 percent of other Miller books do.I enjoy Millers work,and the of story of this book has peaked my interest..This cover highlights the female lead of the book there is also a cool looking higher priced variant from Steve McNiven
 

Spider-Women Alpha #1 Cover B Variant J Scott Campbell Connecting A Cover (Spider-Women Part 1)-DrunkenWooky showed us the complete set already..JSC fans will eat this up

Spider-Women Alpha #1 Cover D Incentive Stacey Lee Variant Cover (Spider-Women Part 1)-I love the Anime style of Stacy Lee this is my sleeper variant of the week..
 

Star Wars Poe Dameron #1 Cover F Incentive Movie Variant Cover – I chose the Movie cover variant because the ladies love Poe and he actually appears on the movie version of the cover

  1. What?! No Harley Lee variant??? I am disappoint.
    Stelfreeze is coming to town in 3 weeks. I may have to get him to sign that BP cover. Or maybe the Ironman Hip Hop cover. Maybe both!

      1. I guess I should have said “Lee SKETCH variant.” I have a feeling that’s going to be crazy to get.

  2. Going to hunt down the Black Panther Alex a Ross variany for the PC. And that Bruce Lee Frank Cho variant looks sick. Going for that one as well if I can find it. Thanks for a gear list Mel.

  3. Elvi, my shop’s copy came damaged and after perusing the web most Bay sellers have them around $100 already! Midtown had theirs at $68 and all gone. I think, yes, this 1:50 will be a scorcher.

  6. Hey Mel. That Black Panther hip hop variant does a double-whammy with it being a black cover as well. I know how you are a fan of those. Keep those NMs stashed. lol

  9. There were literally 20 Jim Lee sketch covers on the shelves at Midtown Store 80 bucks a pop those things will be there for a while
