Thanks to everyone for the support of the Comicsheatingup Variant for Black #1. It has sold through the 250 copy print run.
In about 48 hours the book sold through the print run, which is pretty fantastic, for a totally new property.
Thanks to Frankie’s Comics for doing the presale for me on his platform, as well as, agreeing to handle the shipping logistics for me.

Congratulations Anthony, well deserved mate!
Thanks man
Good work, Tony! May the secondary market forever be in your favor!
Sweet.. I know who’s buying drinks in NYC!
Still you. Lol.
Good Job! I grabbed four. All for flipping.
Cool. Good luck with the sale. Priced them cheap enough that hopefully they will flip at a decent price.
That’s great! Good job on the sellout, I got 2 one for the PC. Is this series ongoing or is it a limited series ? Like I said before I just hope Blackmask can keep up a regular schedule , because this is the last chance I’m giving Blackmask.
issues are already in the can..so it should be no waiting for the creators…just Blackmask printing and getting em to Diamond
Congrats Bro
Congratulations Anthony! A very intriguing design variant on a very interesting book—glad I picked up a couple copies before they were gone!
Black Mask has already lost me, shame too cause they’ve written some nice stuff.
Cool. Too bad I wasn’t on top of this.
I got my three..My dad even wanted a copy of this. When I told him about it, it seemed to be personal with him. Maybe its whole growing up in Mississippi in the 50s thing. I hope its a winner.
Thanks Stewart the contrast between black and white on the cover with the red logo running in between was meant to subtly portray relations between races and violence. The original cover was to have a blood splatter pattern but that was pulled back to just the logo.
I like that you chose to go more minimalist in design. I’m quite excited for this comic!
Congrats on the sell out.
Yeah I grabbed the last one on Sat. night. Good Luck! Hope it’s a hit
Congrats Tony. Glad I was able to get 1. I was going to wait till the weekend, glad I didn’t. 1 is better then none. So thank you for the opportunity.
I take this to mean Tony, Poyo, and Mel will be entering into the comic-publishing business soon? If so I expect covers as good as this one!
