CURSE WORDS RUSHED BACK FOR SECOND PRINT

Can’t say we didn’t see this coming.
Bestselling writer Charles Soule and artist Ryan Browne’s CURSE WORDS has cast its spell on the comics industry, launching yesterday to overwhelming critical and fan praise. In order to keep up with increasing customer demand, CURSE WORDS #1 is being rushed back to print.

In CURSE WORDS #1, a wizard has appeared in New York City, and he’s casting wonderful spells, getting famous, getting rich—it’s great! But it’s not. This wizard has everyone fooled. He is actually an EVIL WIZARD, and EVIL THINGS are on the way. CURSE WORDS is a gonzo modern fantasy, full of darkness, light…and MAGIC.

CURSE WORDS #1 remains available for purchase across all digital platforms.
CURSE WORDS #1, 2nd printing (Diamond code: DEC168140) will be available on Wednesday, February 22nd. The final order cutoff deadline for comics retailers is Monday, January 30th.

  1. Does it seem odd that there are so many 25th anniversary covers available and selling if these are truly 1 per retailer? The market is flooded with them. Just saw one sold for $9.99. It seems that the 1:25 cover is much more scarce in the aftermarket. Did every store get the gold foil cover but not many ordered enough to get the Koala variant?

    1. Every store got the gold foil but I would imagine there are some stores that did not qualify for the 1:25. I was able to secure three of the four one per store variance this week but not all of them are doing great on the secondary market

    1. Well, in some cases, the 1 per store would be harder to get than a 1:50 but since this was a small publisher and not Marvel or DC, most smaller shops likely didn’t even order 50 copies, let alone 25. So this is that rare occasion when the 1 per store is not as rare as the 1:50 or perhaps the 1:25, we won’t know for sure until the final publishing numbers next month.
I guess it also helps, did stores that didn’t even order copies get a 1 per store variant or was it limited to those that ordered at least 1 copy?
