Kate Kane Batwoman Coming to Arrowverse


CW announced their next Arrowverse crossover. The crossover will include Batwoman, Kate Kane. The CW Arrowverse TV shows have been extremely popular and have been doing crossovers over the past couple of seasons. This will be the first Bat-Family character coming to the shows. 
The current version of Kate Kane first appears in 52 Week #7 , going for $4 to $8 currently on eBay, and her first appearance as Batwoman was in 52 Week #11, currently selling on eBay for about $10. The original version of Batwoman, Kathy Kane, first appears in Detective Comics #233.

Arrow star Stephen Amell shared the big news at The CW’s upfront presentation on Thursday. “We’re incredibly excited to announce that we’ll be doing another crossover event this fall on the CW, and we’ll be introducing a new character,” Amell said. “For the very first time appearing, we’ll be fighting alongside Batwoman, which is terrific. The crossover is going to make it to air in December. I need to leave right now and start filming it.”
Batwoman, otherwise known as Kate Kane, is one of several vigilantes who protect Gotham City. The character, first introduced as Kathy Kane in Detective Comics back in 1956, was reimagined for DC Comics’ New 52, with the character now a Jewish lesbian.
“We are adding the city of Gotham into the Arrowverse,” CW boss Mark Pedowitz added. “This will be another full-throttled, action-packed event.”

  1. Picked up copies of 52 week 7 and 11 over a year ago…sent in week 11 to cgc and it came back a 9.8!
    I’ll have to check it ou, but I believe 7 is a cameo, while week 9 might be Kate’s first full appearance.

  4. With the number of similarities between Alex Danvers and Kate Kane, I was really thinking they were going to find a way to have her become Batwoman…
