Comic book related tv and movie news keeps coming fast. Granted, some of these will never make it off the launch pad, but there would be a slew of comic related viewing if they did.
The recently put together IDW Entertainment has announced a new partnership with George Lopez and his Travieso Production Company to bring Ben Templesmith’s outlandish comic series Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse to television as an animated series.
David M. Stern of “The Simpsons” will write the pilot episode and executive produce the series with Templesmith serving as a creative consultant.
“We have assembled an incredible creative team with David M. Stern, George Lopez and Circle of Confusion, which will help bring Wormwood to life as a fun animated television series,” David Ozer, President of IDW Entertainment, said.

Wormwood first appeared in Lo Fi Magazine Summer 2004, but there are no copies available on eBay. It was then collected in Wormwood Gentleman Corpse The Taster Copies are available on Amazon starting around $10, Wormwood Gentleman Corpse The Taster #0 (IDW)
I know I have a copy of this somewhere and did not realize it was valuable.
Thanks to Wiley S. for the tip and Topher Seal from investcomic.
Thank you sir, but Topher deserves more credit than me.
lets split that credit! I would love to find that lo fi mag but it appears to be very rare.
I looked. Everywhere. Nothing online. It was serialized so it would appear in subsequent issues as well.
I am going to see if I can find it locally but I have a feeling that I won’t be able to. I am working on my collection of regular wormwood issues though… I need #1, 3 and 4 of the regular series than I think I have all of them.
Man, I hate when that happens! I ordered 1 of the 2 copies of the taster that were on amazon, and got an email today that said they couldn’t find it. Have to keep looking I guess…
They are showing as sold out today. There were 4 copies the other night. I know I have a nm copy of Tasters some where. Might have to dig it out and bring it to market. Love Ben Templesmith’s art.
I do think that people will stick something up on Amazon and pull it off if people try to order after the check to see if some news came out about the book.
Yeah I like it too. It’s not like your typical comic style art.
I need the taster #0 and issue #1 and I think they are both going to be hard to find for the right price. If you have either or both, and your willing to part with them, maybe we can work something out!
I have to figure out if they are here or in my storage which is 30 miles from me.
