RUNNERS UP

11 Alias Vol 1 #1
Well, that didn’t take long! Jessica Jones is back in Daredevil: Born Again for one episode, and the rumors are already flying that she will get her own show on Disney+. Nothing is for certain, but with fan excitement at her return, and anger that she left still pretty prevalent, it’s not surprising to see her first appearance seeing some action on the aftermarket once Disney breathed new life into the character. We tracked 8 copies sold, with a 7-day growth trend of 11%, including a high sale of $209 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $71.

12 Nectar #1 – Chris Shehan – Regular
This book is sticking around! It saw a massive run of attention when it first dropped, and has remained pretty steady since. There’s been a recent influx of graded copies hitting the market, helping this book stick around. It doesn’t hurt that collectors find the series enjoyable, and its “option” potential hasn’t waned in the interim. We tracked 12 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 70% with a high sale of $100 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $15.

13 Spawn #1 – Todd McFarlane – Direct
Mainline Spawn is getting a new creative team, and that’s kept Spawn at the forefront of many collectors’ minds – that, and the tidbits of McFarlane news that hit the internet. Spawn is the aftermarket king and continues to trade copies routinely, with nearly every collector out there owning this book at one point in time. Still, it’s been more prevalent lately, pointing to the excitement many Spawn fans are feeling once this new era kicks off in May. We tracked 31 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 31% with a high sale of $125 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $31.

14 Absolute Batman #2 – Nick Dragotta – 2nd Print
Didn’t you know? Absolute Batman is absolutely crushing it! Enough so that the 2nd issue got eight, yes, EIGHT printings! This cover was an alternate 2nd print cover for fans to chase, before they made this issue more red for the third print, and each subsequent printing just got the original cover A with slight changes to denote which printing is which. Confusing, but it stands to show how much collectors love this series! We tracked 7 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 24% with a high sale of $25 for an NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $12.

15 Planet Atmos: Exordium #1 – Peach Momoko (1:10)
This title came off the presses with some heat to it, much like other recent Mad Cave titles have. But the icing on the cake was this Momoko 1:10 variant. One of the few, and only ratio variants available made it a draw, then add Peach to the mix and it’s a cover folks are chasing! We tracked 10 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 27% with a high sale of $20 for an NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $18.

16 Head Lopper #1 – Jeffrey Alan Love (1:10)
Head Lopper has been around for about a decade, and fans were very excited for the return! The numerous variants for it were gaining traction and selling quite well, but this 1:10 variant from Jeffrey Alan Love appears to be leading the pack. As a mid-tier ratio (1:10), it was likely one LCS would take a flyer on based on name recognition alone, increasing the odds collectors will snag a copy off the shelf. But, inevitably, some had to turn to the online aftermarket to acquire this killer book with a haunting cover. We tracked 12 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 20% with a high sale of $15 for an NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $11.

17 Absolute Batman #19 – Muju Monster – Trinity Comics – Negative Gold Foil (Limited 899)
This issue was hyped for some time as it features the debut of Absolute Scarecrow, Slade Wilson, and the Robins. But this variant from Muju Monster and Trinity comics has been leading the pack to a degree. It has a lot of “gimmicks” that draw a crowd these days, including being limited, negative, gold, foil, and Absolute Batman. It’s an aftermarket collector’s dream of a book! We tracked 23 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 0% with a high sale of $205 for an NM+ copy and a current raw NM FMV of $124.

18 Vampirella #1 – Will Jack – Virgin (1:15)
This newest launch of Vampirella got a ton of sexy variants for fans to chase! But, Will Jack, who is quite skilled at the sensual stuff, crushed it with this 1:15 variant that had fans coming out of the woodwork to secure a copy. Some collectors may have been lucky to snag this ratio at LCS, as Vampirella is popular but not a HUGE draw. Others had to hit up the online marketplace, but many were willing to do so to add this book to their PC. We tracked 21 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 17% with a high sale of $35 for an NM copy and a current raw NM FMV of $21.

19 Daredevil Vol 1 #183 – Direct
Daredevil Vs The Punisher has been a long-running theme, essentially, getting started right here with this book. Two sides of the same coin, two mantras on life, two forces of vigilantism on opposite ends of the spectrum collide right here, and they’ve been colliding since! It’s a fan favorite tandem, and with their on-screen interactions in Daredevil, it has only added to the fanfare. Fans are excited for what’s to come when they meet again, and are currently stirring the rumor mill on when that meeting will be! We tracked 10 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 17% with a high sale of $169 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $25.

20 The Omega Men Vol 1 #3 – Keith Giffen
This book marks the first appearance of Lobo, and that’s a big deal because fans have been dying to see him on the big screen for like a decade now. And, they are getting their wish when Supergirl finally drops. Jason Momoa is suiting up as the mouthy space merc, and fans are very excited. They’ve been picking up this issue for years, but we’re seeing a boost as we get closer to release and get little nuggets from the Supergirl team until then. We tracked 29 copies sold, at a 7-day growth trend of 6% with a high sale of $464 for a CGC 9.8 copy and a current raw NM FMV of $86.
