Falcon-Cap Spec

It is pretty well known now that Falcon will be taking over as Captain America. Cap has lost his powers, and in turn, his status as the super soldier. Zip takes a look at the spec angle of the story line.
A lot of people are freaking out in regard to the new Captain America. I saw one listing for Captain America Captain America 21+22 going for 25 bucks. That is insanity. On that note..Lets dive in to that bat#^7 crazy awesomeness. We all know why that comic is going nuts.
The spec most people obviously aren’t considering is Ran Shen. This is the guy who wiped Captain America out. His back story is actually pretty good too. Ran Shen, or The Iron Nail was a shield agent with some serious pull.
“In 1968 Ran was on Mount Everest where he awakened the spirit of what appeared to be a Makluan called Nian. The Dragon pierced Ran’s chest with its claw giving him the power to fulfill his wishes. Shen showed up years later calling himself the Iron Nail, and presumably released former super-soldier Nuke into Eastern Europe, to attack individuals countries he perceives as enemies of America, also to have him engage the heroes Captain America and Falcon.” So says the internet.
Ran Shen’s first appearance is in Captain America #12. You can pick up copies of this dirt cheap right now. If Captain America’s status change is generating this much attention, eventually people will want to look at the villain who caused it all.

    1. Ummmm.. I’m pretty sure The Falcon first appearance in Captain America #117 was still Sam Wilson. Someone correct me if I’m wrong though.

      1. “There’s been a lot of mainstream news regarding Sam WIlson as the next Cap. If your scrambling to find his first appearance as the man look right here!”
First appearance as Captain America, not actual first appearance. The comments above from the page give off the impression it’s his actual first appearance. 😉

        1. Yeah, I posted more replies. I was posting in response to the tagline from the URL posted, it sort of comes off as they’re saying it’s Sam Wilson’s first appearance in general, not Sam Wilson’s first appearance as Cap. 😉
