Five Ghosts- More SDCC Spec and hint at media deal?

Five Ghosts is one of my favorite books. I have had a chance to meet Frank Barbiere and Chris Mooneyham a couple of times. Even had a signing event for readers way back in the day (still have some copies left over.) Frank is genuinely a nice guy, and if you are at SDCC this year you should stop by the booth. Frank is such a nice guy he often stops by the CGC message boards and drops nuggets of goodness.

The latest thing he drops is a two-fold bit of info on Five Ghosts. One part is about the SDCC exclusive six issue set her will have at SDCC.

The second part is a low key hint at “big news” that will be coming out before the show. We previously mentioned the potential for a media deal for the book a while back. Nay-sayers were commenting that it would be about exclusives for SDCC. Now we know that it is both. Read on:

Here’s what a lot of you have been waiting for. Our new SDCC set:
There will be a SIXTH book that we’re not gonna show until SDCC. I know, more fun. It has Fabian and all five ghosts. The issues are 7-12, all of the Lost Coastlines arc.
The same as last year–THERE WILL ONLY BE 50 SETS.
Also, keep your eyes and ears peeled for some big Five Ghosts news before the show. I’ll tell you all more when I can.
Best,
Frank

  1. I think that five ghosts signing was the first one I participated in (and pretty deadly).
I hope they can pick up more readers with an announcement…

  2. I would love to see a series developed for the small screen. It has so much to offer in the way of character development and story lines.

  3. offtopic, but i got my extra spreads #1 today
All i can say is every book is mint and it makes me wish all publishers would start to use better printing methods. I dont mind paying more if the books come out of the printer looking minty.
