Bunker #2 ONI Press. Sold out before release

Don’t forget to pick up a copy of Bunker #2 from Oni Press when you go out to get your comics later today.

Bunker #2 from ONI Press has already sold out at the distributor level in advance of its release. Not surprising considering how well the first issue did on both the retail and the secondary market. Second issues in a series tend to have a smaller print run than the first issue, and often subsequent issues. The first issue tends to have people picking it up to try it or speculate on it, and then people often skip out on the second issue. As readers pick up a series, it is not uncommon for a book to increase the print run for later issues, on popular series. (Just look at Black Science #2).
Remember, when a book sells out at the distributor level, this does not mean that you will not be able to find it in your local comics shop, it means once their stock of first prints are gone, they will not be able to get additional copies.
