X-Men Days of Future past post-credit scene speculation

Ok, the movie is out there. If you haven’t seen it, or do not want to ruin the post credit scene, do not read on. **This is your spoiler warning** If you have seen it, or want to go ahead and possibly be ahead of the game read on.
As I said before **Spoiler Warning**
So the X-Men Days of Future Past movie has opened, and as with Marvel Films, there is a Post Credit Spoiler. In this Post Credit Spoiler, they give a look ahead to X-Men Apocalypse, the next film in the franchise.
In the scene, we get out first look at Apocalypse. In the spoiler, we see Apocalypse construct a pyramid in mid-air and standing over his shoulder are the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
So let’s get to speculating.
Sales of his first appearance in X-Factor #6 has already shot up in advance as it was well known what the next X-Men movie is called and who will be in it.
What hasn’t shot up, or has been looked at is Apocalypse’s origin. This was told in the Rise of Apocalypse Mini Series. (I loved Adam Polina’s art even before this, so I picked this up when it came out just for his art.)
The Four Horsemen, who are shown, are almost a lock to be in X-Men Apocalypse. Their first appearance is in X-Factor #15. They were first mentioned, previously, but not shown in X-Factor #10. Comicvine has their first appearance as Marvel Age Annual #3. Marvel Age was previewing upcoming books and they are rumored to have been shown in the preview which predates X-Factor #15.
The question that must be asked, which four characters will be included in the Four Horsemen. Will it be the classics from above, or will Wolverine show up as Death as he did in Wolverine #145 and Wolverine #146.
Since 1996, Apocalypse is shown with his lackey Ozmandias. He is the statue like being seen with Apocalypse, and has stood in and disguised himself as Apocalypse several times. Since not much casting info has been released on who will be in the movies, there is no way to confirm he will be in the movie, but his first appearance in Uncanny X-Men #332, which can be found for around $1, might not be a bad pick up.
So there you have it, cheap pickups to look for in advance of the 2016 release of X-Men Apocalypse.

  1. I would also speculate on some of these related X-Factor books. X-Factor 19 is not the first appearance of the Four Horsemen though it does feature the first horsemen cover. It looks like both issues 15,19 do not show the complete 4 horsemen so it must be a later issue that is the full group’s first.

    1. If it does there is a significant amount of comics to speculate on, like the first appearance of Earth-295 or X-Men Alpha Gold! The only thing I wonder is how well some of those comics will do since many at that time had high print runs. I guess it will depend on the comic.

  2. The Age of Apocolypse Omnibus is out of print and sells for between $150 and $200. On ebay. Cover price is $125 though. If you ever see it in a shop for cover or less I say pick it up.
