  1. yeah i doubt that they destroy them as well. does anyone know what the misprint is for them to call for destroying them?

  2. I don’t understand why they would ask retailers to destroy them instead of telling them to send back for replacements. If you don’t send them back, then you don’t get your replacements. I find it hard to believe they’d just blindly send out the replacements and leave it to the retailers to destroy the comics instead. Me thinks it’s a marketing ploy.. 😉

      1. Way cheaper than the costs of reprinting them all and sending all new ones again though. I think that’s the ploy though, they know a lot of shops aren’t going to “destroy” a bunch of comics.. not if everyone is willingly buying them.

        1. I actually collect a lot of the recalled comics. Have the Wolverine one with the racial slur, The misprinted Phongrams, Scoobie Doo, Mind the Gap and many others. It is a fun little subset of collecting.

      2. I’d imagine they would have to be, unless the publishers actually obtain the comics or books back, they can’t guarantee they were destroyed and honestly, I don’t think they can legally stop stores from selling them. That’s why if they truly wanted them destroyed, they would recall them to send out the corrected ones. Me is not big conspiracy theorist but if I were a publisher and truly wanted to recall a product, I’d spend the money to get them back to send the corrected ones, not rely on those willing to make even more money on a product that just found “high demand”.. 😉

  3. Don’t they usually ask for just the cover to be shipped back? But here in the Philippines, I doubt that any of our retailers here would actually ship these books back because of the cost.

  4. Sorry I posted thia in the vwars thread but here is my question
Is this a pump & dump or should I hold off and cgc the 2 copies I get. I just dont want to lose out. Also why was it recalled
    Thanks
    Nick

    1. I cgc’d the All Star Batman and Robin recalled book some years back and had it signature series-ed by Jim Lee. Not sure of why the recall. Hit two stores today and only one had one copy. The other told me that they had pled them for recall. Not sure how any got out in the wild.

      1. I think all was because the swear wasn’t blacked out or showed through the black blurb. All star is good because of jim lee and its batman. The reason I asked is iv followed some of the advice here and has for the most part been dead on trying to get into the game of flipping but dont want to short myself like I did when the 3d jokers daughter was like $90 & I had 3 waited to long now like 30. But w rai #2 idk if its that popular so im specing on do it npw maybe sell one keep the other because I dont care about the comic so idk. I did hear that some of the mask variants did ship witb out the eyes cut out from one of my local lcs so maybe that be the one to find if its true

  5. How rare are these? I went to two different shops today and both had 1 in stock, so I ended up grabbing the two.

  6. Damn, missed out on this one. I actually have honest shops that destroy them, evidentally. Or hold them for awhile and put them out for a premium. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. haha
