Summer is well under way, and this has been a comic book speculator’s summer. Comics are shooting up in value the day they come out, reminds me of two years ago. Books are selling out before they hit the stands. Here is a quick look at some of the books you should be looking at for delivery 7/2/14
These books have all sold out before the 7/2/14 delivery date
Bad Dreams #3 – small company book with a small print run. Each issue has sold out.
Figment #2 – the first issue sold out quickly and jumped in price. Second issues are notorious for having smaller print runs which will make this one harder to find.
Haunted #3– I cannot talk this book up enough, tiny print runs, selling out. And had a media deal with Bryan Singer before the first issue ever shipped.
Nailbiter #3 – Joshua Williamson is a cool guy. In addition, this book is sick, in a very good way. Worth the pick up for the read or the spec.
Southern Bastards #3 – Jason Aaron, hell of a book.

Heh, Just saying for anyone else who didn’t now the #2 is going to drop.
Itching for SPREAD next week! Issues seam to be moving off eBay and Midtown and TFAW have been dried up a while. Now if I can just rig a amber alert for The Convention Teaser when it pops up I’d be all good!
I have a feeling they will start to pop up once the book comes out. May stir some memories, people may have been holding. Not many people speak up and say they have copies
Some great books coming up this week. Really looking forward to Nail Biter and Southern Bastards. The early reviews for both are great, and I expect Nail Biter to get some kind of media deal in the future. Really glad I decided to get a sketch SS of that book. East of West should be solid this week as well.

I’m with you, I’m actually amazed Southern and Nailbiter has not had TV news attached to it of some sort. It’s a non stop flow of news of books being bought up that have little following, and in my opinion lack a story that grab you. Wake up Showtime and buy buy buy!
Give it time. These will probably be announced at SDCC.

My picks of the week are going to be Haunted #3 (already sold out at most online retailers), past releases have had very small print runs. Already has a media option. #2 hard to find, this one might follow in #2 foot prints.
Figment #2, Betty and Veronica Marilyn’s Cover B variant are close second/third, however you want to see it. 🙂

Yeah. I want Rocket Raccoon to blow up with popularity so my pickup of his first appearance in Hulk blows up. I nabbed a raw what could be a 9.6 or possibly 9.8 for about $130 a couple months back. Still debating on sending it in to grade or not.
Did haunted number 1 have a second print? If so what was the difference. I picked up 2 copies off mycomicshop for 2.50 each a couple days ago. I can’t figure out if they are second prints.
Were they listed as 1a and 1b? There was no variant and I have not heard of it being reprinted.

I don’t recall seeing a 2nd print that is out. It should specifically say where you bought or somewhere on the comic creds.

Seems Red 5 still had copies after Diamond sold out so this is what you might be seeing, a second wave of orders that went through. This is probably why I saw Midtown sell out and then had it listed a couple of weeks later as in stock.
