Five Ghosts Tube Comics and "big news" tomorrow

Time to start following Frank Barbiere, @atlasincognita, on Twitter. Today he released news that Black Mask Studios is launching a Youtube channel with motion comics, which will include Five Ghosts, but there is more.

Five Ghosts to start filming in January

Had a quiet and introspective weekend, kind of. But did pop out for a signing, Ryan Browne of God Hates Astronauts fame (also Manhattan Projects and Bedlam fame) and Frank Barbiere of Five Ghosts fame (and his twin Zach, cool guy) were present. Got to talk to Frank about the Five Ghosts TV series and learned a few things.

Five Ghosts Print run

With the announcement of Five Ghosts being optioned by NBC for a show, and with word from Frank Barbiere that a pilot could come this year, I figured it would be a good idea to look at the print runs for the series.

Five Ghosts- More SDCC Spec and hint at media deal?

Five Ghosts is one of my favorite books. I have had a chance to meet Frank Barbiere and Chris Mooneyham a couple of times. Even had a signing event for readers way back in the day (still have some copies left over.) Frank is genuinely a nice guy, and if you are at SDCC this year you should stop by the booth. Frank is such a nice guy he often stops by the CGC message boards and drops nuggets of goodness.

Five Ghosts Movie? Five Ghosts Tv show?

I love Five Ghosts. I have met and talked to Frank Barbiere. When I saw him on May 3rd, he was hinting at things picking up for he and Chris Mooneyham coming around or before October. I thought he was talking about the book. But then he dropped an elusive bombshell over at the CGC boards. Continue reading “Five Ghosts Movie? Five Ghosts Tv show?”

‘Five Ghosts Haunting of Fabian Gray’ to become ongoing series

20130610-120605.jpg

Five Ghosts the Haunting of Fabian Gray is going to be an ongoing series. Frank Barbiere stated at Hero’s Con this weekend he had big news about the series. Looks like the official announcement is coming soon.

I had spoken to Frank Barbiere a few weeks ago at a signing and he stated he let the news loose unofficially via twitter and Image didn’t react to much to him saying so. He also said it will continue with legacy numbering (not a series of mini series) but the name would be changing. It will still be called Five Ghosts but the subtitle will be changing.

Pick of the week 4/17/13

Sorry for getting this out late, hope you haven’t been to the shop yet if you are a regular reader, but here is my picks of the week.

Picks, because there are two.

5668

1. Five Ghosts, Haunting of Fabian Gray #2: This was the fifth most reordered book on the 3/27/13 Diamond Advanced reorder list. Retailers had strong sales on the first issue of this mini-series. The 2nd issue was ordered at mini-series levels, and there is rumor that this is being picked up as an ongoing series. Plus, did you see the Phantom Variant for this issue?

2. Miniature Jesus #1: Again, this was on the 3/27/13 Diamond Comics Advanced reorder list as retailers were scrambling to order extra copies as a buzz picked up on the book. It was the 10th most reordered book of the week.
