Zenescopes' The Library to be adapted by Mythology Entertainment

Movie and TV studios are snatching up whatever they can get a hold of out of the world of comics. Why not, you have story boarded scripts, with visual cues already to go. Mythology Entertainment has just scooped up Grimm Fairy Tales: The Library for an adaptation.
Copies of Grimm Fairy Tales: The Library can be found cheap, about $1.25 an issue.
The story is described as:

Library is a spinoff from Zenescope’s Grimm Universe series. The story follows the adventures of a teenage girl and her brother as they accidentally unlock various portals within a historic library that physically transport them into the strange worlds of the books that surround them.

  1. I would dig this as a movie, never really got into this series but like the basis of the story.
Side note, Humans #0 going to second print! That is pretty rare.

  2. seriously we need a fourm lol..i have so many off topic questions and i see alot of people with side notes …but back on topic..this could be good

    1. This. A message board would be nice. I saw Guardian’s of the Galaxy last night, but have no where to post my thoughts. Phenomenal by the way.

    1. More printings are always a good sign. Even if those 2nd/3rd+ printings rarely pay off. It’s a sign demand for the material is growing / and or was under estimated. Saga/thief of thieves/ manifest destiny. All got many printings and all are hot with #1 first print in major demand.

      1. Agree, but I suppose if there was never such a thing as more printings or collected trades, then those 1st and only printings would skyrocket just due to supply and demand. Of course not printing a collected trade is like when hell freezes over.

      2. Yup, Comic book market $$$ is still just over twice the size as trade paperback though.
I don’t mind 2nd prints so much, because a savvy collector can stay away.. But variants are much harder to stay away and can saturate the market like this new Low #1 having so many different covers, all first print. Meanwhile kirkman knows what is up only doing one cover of outcast first print.
But yeah, I doubt they will stop printing trade anytime soon as it might be an area they think that collect buyers who do buy trade might not buy at all if they didn’t print them. Also some might bleed over into comicbook side.
Summing it up the less variety for a cover either variant or 2nd print, will spur more on the supply and demand end. But the comic book company is also trying to stay in business and these variant & 2nd print are one of the ways they do so, especially companies like zenescope who might not survive without doing so.

  3. Yes a second printing of a #0 is even better than any other second printing in my opinion. Number one is going to drop (rightfully so) with a huge buzz and demand. Being an Image title I’m sure not too many are going to miss this one with the buzz already building months in advance, making the first print of issue #0 the one to own/flip.

    1. The second printing for 0 is pretty much all speculators though. Has there been any reviews of the comic so far? Do many self published books go into second printings?
