Enormous #2 news and hints at print run

Anyone who tried, and failed to get a copy of Enormous #2 were left scratching their heads on what to do.
First, there seems to have been some kind of distribution error in getting the books out to shops. Seems shops that ordered them were allocated. But More importantly, the print run seems tiny. Over on the cgc boards, someone directly involved with the book has been dropping posts. The user name is enormouscomic. The poster references the artist several times, which leads one to think that the poster is the writer Tim Daniel.

To everyone that missed getting their copies. My apologies on behalf of the distributor We have been and will continue to be on time with book in terms of production and printing. The delays that have ensued at this point are strictly the result of distribution failures.
Thank you for the patience – this aggravates me as much as it does you, trust me. we’ve fought enough of a battle to get this book back to the shelves and to see Diamond mishandle delivery is simply unacceptable.

Enormous #2 is out today
Going to be tough to find and so will #3 is looks like, but numbers are trending up strongly w/ #4.

and

Don’t know actual numbers yet but #2 and #3 are going to be indeed be smaller than #1 and hard to find w/out a pre-order. #4 on the other hand has show a big jump in pre-orders! So thank you all to those of you that have subscribed.

So copies may show up at shops next week. But With the news that #2 and #3 are tiny print runs, smaller than Enormous #1. The first issue had two variants to help support the print run at the level it was at, one from Larry as part of the Phantom Variant program, which had about 544 copies, and the Hastings Variant which was about 800 copies.
The poster does make mention that the print run will jump up with issue #4.

  1. Tim also dropped news of a potential NYCC exclusive. This book is absolutely flawless IMO in every way. If you’re selling, I’m buying!

  2. That might explain why my go to shop for anything small print only had one and said he only got one cover. They still have spread issue 1 print 1. They cater more to magic cards then comics. Anything new short or limited print they always have it in stock.

  3. I found one copy at Hastings yesterday and bought it. Midtown shows a release date of August 20th? Is this due to the distribution problem? They’re just delayed by Diamond and more copies of #2 are coming?

  4. Anyone looking to acquire multiple copies of further issues should start pre-ordering issue 5+ through midtowntowncomics.com or a similar source. Or through your LCS of course.

  5. My LCS didn’t have a copy this week and I don’t see why he wouldn’t have ordered it as he sold out of number one. I did get lucky and I found the last copy of 1A in some random box while I was looking for issue two.

    1. wow just looked on ebay, you can’t really find a number two for under 15 bucks it seems. I have a feeling these will in shops next week and these people paying crazy prices are going to be pissed.

  6. I’m pretty shocked so many people are quick flipping. The print run is extremely small. IMO this is not a quick flip book. It is going to have more and more readers seeking out early issues. Some books we discuss are hot for a week and cool off, it’s not very common we are discussing issue #2’s. It’s because this book is stellar!

  7. Yeah I got lucky and showed up as soon as my comic shop opened after getting a delivery and grabbed everything they had on the wall, both covers A and B x2. Felt like I found gold in my back yard! Love having TFAW next to my house!

  8. Reports are coming in that Enormous #1 print run was 4,618. For around $10 a copy is an absolute steal. Just imagine the value when live action news drops when’s it’s hovering around double cover at issue #2! When a show (I’m convinced their will be) does appear on a screen the value will be…WOW!

  9. any update on Enormous #2..none at my LCS he had about 7 before he does not know when he will get more
