Walking Dead #132: Must Pick Up

Every week that a Walking Dead book is released, I put it on my Picks of the Week. Simply because there is a lot of life left in Dead. Especially with the new season of the show with a little over a week away and talk of the new spin off coming out. This week I left it off, an over site on my part.
If you follow the series, you will know the last couple of issues have had talk of “Talking Dead”, zombies that could talk. Walking Dead #132 solves the mystery of the “Talking Dead”. Not to give away too much, or cause spoilers for those who have not read it this week, but Walking Dead #132 sets up the next “big bad” in the series. Issue 132 will be a key issue in that as the talkers are actually seen for the first time. Things have been quiet in the series since they jumped ahead five years after the end of the “All Out War” story line, but this sets up the next struggle for the survivors.
Reading the issue, I was drawn in instantly, a little surprised by where they took this. Definitely could see this integrated into the show in one form or other.

  1. Also 1st full baby Hershel in TWD 130. Dante has been cool, can anyone confirm that his 1st app was in issue 131?

  2. I’m in in Danville Kentucky, grandfather passed away, managed to find their only comic shop, little hole in the wall. Didn’t have much but I did manage to pick up some Walking Dead back issues (all NM+) for about $40. Found #24, 37, 40 and a few others. Didn’t think it was a bad price, I’ve seen most of them under #50 go easily for $20 or more. Slowly but surely will get a complete set together.

  3. That’s funny Poyo, I’m from Lexington and stopped by that little comic shop in Danville a few weeks ago, they had just moved locations so they didn’t have much stuff out. Sorry about your gramps tho. Mine are both from Danville too. Small world

    1. Nice. It really is a small world. And yeah, seems they were still trying to get things all in order. The back issues was messy to go through. They did have plenty of issues #100 available though if anyone is looking for them.
