This one will be a harder to pick spec piece for a couple of reasons.
First, we really do not know what the story line will be. Will it be focused on one the original story, or based off one of the storylines later with flash backs to the original material.
It will also be hard to spec because of the price of the first Dr. Strange. Strange first appeared in Strange Tales #110 which is a pricey book.
So where to start looking. Dr. Strange’s origin is a good start. His origin originally is told in Strange Tales #115. His origin is retold in Dr. Strange #169
which is also his first solo appearance.
So until more info is released, we do not have much to go on with this one.

I remember Doctor Strange 44 ( Infinity War Crossover ) being mentioned in the past as possible film source material but I have not read the comic yet.
