Agent Poyo's Picks of the Week for delivery 5/6/15

I survived FCBD by going camping instead, leave the trip planning to the women and you too will miss FCBD. Regardless, camping was a blast. The only other person who cared was my 6 year old daughter who was sad she was going to miss Star Wars day (she thinks FCBD is Star Wars Day cause one of the shops has almost nothing but Star Wars cosplayers there), so very cute.
Last week it was all about Battsssssss.. so what’s it gonna be this week? Well, there is the Batman #40 Combo Pack coming out this week, so if you can find it, grab it. It seems to be selling better than the regular #40 issues currently. Seems the hype is leveled off some. I never really saw a lot of the media outlets reporting the death of Batman with a new Batman either, so it could potentially heat up once again when more people find out who don’t usually hit up the regular shops.
We also learned of a new possible major character in Justice League #40, so be sure to pick up it’s polybag combo as well. I don’t see these heating up for a quick flip but could be a potential gamble to hold and then sell when the time is right.
Wonder Woman 77 Special #1 (DC) – If your like me, old, you remember Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman in the hit TV series. The covers look awesome and if you can land the Phil Jimenez variant at cover or cheap, pick it up for sure.
We Can Never Go Home #2 (Black Mask) – Sold out online at a lot of retailers, expect this to be a lower print run than #1. This comic has movie or show all over it. Sure it’s nothing ground breaking but it’s definitely refreshing.
Secret Wars #1 (Marvel) – Of course, there’s gonna be a bazillion of them. There’s a bazillion variants but they’re calling this the event of Marvel history, things are gonna change. Anyone who read their comics and watches their movies need to pay attention to these to see what’s going to happen. Are characters going to die, who will survive.. and so on! Don’t underestimate these types of issues, look at Civil War and their other big events, they end up selling and defining the Marvel Universe.
That’s All Folks!
