The one I am really looking forward to
This Damned Band #1– Seriously, can’t get any more plain than that, I am really looking forward to this book. A horror comedy. It is a book described as Ghostbusters meets Spinal Tap. A band pretending to worship Satan who have actually been worshiping Satan. And things go pear shaped from there.
The returning favorite
We Stand on Guard #2– BKV. New Series. First issue was great. Really looking forward to it.
Nailbiter #15– Joshua Williamson’s book gets more twisted as the mystery deepens. Love this series.
The New Image #1
Dark Corridor #1 – New Image #1’s are always worth the gamble. This series looks exceptionally good though. Getting very favorable reviews.
Small Press Gem
Old Wounds #4– Fantastic small press noir/pulp hero mash up. Seriously good, make sure to look for copies of the Old Wounds Series if you like Noir or Pulp Heroes.
Small Press picks of the week
King #1– Conan if it was directed by Sam Raimi! Quirky small press book for $2.99, I am in. Also it is written by Joshua Hale Fialkov.
John Flood #1– Archetypal “John Constantine-esque” character. Justin Jordan writing means I am in.
The Pick of the Week
Imperium #7 – Sold out everywhere. Return of Divinity, Valiant’s most popular new character. Sold out everywhere, did I mention that?
