Black Eyed Peas Create Original Graphic Novem

Hmm… not sure on this.

From the mind of seven-time Grammy award-winning, multi-platinum recording artist, from the Black Eyed Peas, comes an all-new graphic novel created with artist Damion Scott (All-New Ghost Rider, Marvel’s Hip-Hop Variants), Marvel Comics presents MASTERS OF THE SUN – THE ZOMBIE CHRONICLES.

Mixing LA Gang culture, B-Boy-ism, and Egyptology, MASTERS OF THE SUN – THE ZOMBIE CHRONICLES fuses together the genres of music and comics and tells the complete tale of a retro futuristic zombie thriller, mixed with action, suspense, and horror unlike anything seen before.

“Few artists have done more to embed Hip-Hop in popular culture than and the Black Eyed Peas,” said Marvel Editor in Chief, Axel Alonso. “So we are thrilled to present this deeply personal story that speaks directly to Hip-Hop aficionados, comic book fans and the intersection of those communities.”

Los Angeles is under attack from an ancient alien God sent to earth to turn its inhabitants into zombies. With a deep love of the Hip-Hop culture, Zulu-X and his crew go head-to-head with a nefarious ancient order to settle a score thousands of years old. What happens next can only be described as the perfect blend of ancient wisdom and street-smarts all rolled into one epic adventure.

“The Black Eyed Peas and I have begun a new journey,” said “We’ve been working on this original story for years and partnering with Marvel to bring this book to life is more than a dream come true.”

Boasting one of the most eclectic ensemble cast of characters, MASTERS OF THE SUN – THE ZOMBIE CHRONICLES delivers a powerful social allegory in the form of a new movement this July from, Damion Scott, and Marvel Comics.

Ummm, yeah…. Hmmmm, don’t think I’ll be picking this up. I might be wrong… Never know when one will receive a head injury or drink too much before hitting the “buy it now” button when comic shopping. So, ya never know.

Annnnnnnd another round of applause for Axel Alonso for creating just one more shitty marvel property—-good for him! Well…..he’s consistent…..there is that.

    • OCguy says:

If there is ever a time to applaud crap for being yet crap…this will be it….. Maybe they should do a “What If”…A What If where this turns out good!

      • Vann says:

Yeah….they could even have Dan Slott write it……oh, wait a minute….you did say that you wanted it to be good—oops.

      • Anthony says:

Lol. Yeah. I think it’s a good idea to bring talented people in from other industries. JMS, Kevin Smit, came from tv and movies. Other song writers have written comics. All we have to base it on is the cover and I am not overly impressed with the cover.

Isn’t Marvel in the North East this coming week on a kind of symposium asking shop owners their thoughts on Marvel’s books and what could be better (or perhaps less worse)???…..kind of like a “Beef and Bouquet”—-Given that verbiage—that will easily let you know where I’m from for future reference or repartee or outright malaise and abuse!)

Marvel….and the geniuses therein could……just could, not saying should….but could, focus on talent and good stories. Kind of like how they started. –They can reference this post ( you can already bet they have) and figure it out—this isn’t quantum physics…..

    • Anthony says:

Wish they would invite bloggers and readers as well. We could set them straight.

      • OCguy says:

Doubt they could handle that, lol!

      • Vann says:

I think it’s an invite only thing in New York…..and I truly hope they included some bloggers/readers too. If Marvel actions the advice they are seeking, things really could improve.

You guys are all hating on this but we all know the more you speak out on it the more likely it will end up in your pulls as your guilty pleasure read…… Muahahahaha…..

At least it’s not another Gwen-Whatever…..
