Mel V.’s Variant Picks for August 16th, 2017

What Up CHU? Mel V. here with your weekly variant picks for the week of August 16TH. This is almost like a bounce back week after the slim week we had last week. A couple of sleepers in here. So, lets get right into it

Astonishing X-Men Vol 4 #2 Cover B Incentive Elizabeth Torque Character Variant Cover – Sleeper #1. Even though it’s a lower ratio incentive, I like the prospect of this cover catching on. Torque books always get noticed, I’m surprised it hasn’t sold out yet

Astonishing X-Men Vol 4 #2 Cover D Incentive Leinil Francis Yu Villain Variant Cover – Sleeper #2 Had this cover been released before the last X-men Movie, no telling how well it would have done. Seems like most people have forgotten about Apocalypse, fans of the character will be looking for this one and the black cover may make this a tough 9.8. Keep an eye on this one

Generations Wolverine & All-New Wolverine #1 Cover B Variant Olivier Coipel Cover – Very Plain cover, yes, but for some reason I’m drawn to it. I will be getting at one of these tomorrow

Spider-Men II #2 Cover C Incentive Gabrielle Dell Otto Variant Cover – Dell Otto continues to make his way up the ladder to legendary artist status. Another great cover to add to his portfolio, sold out most places online.

Trinity Vol 2 #12 Cover B Variant Bill Sienkiewicz Cover – I like this one better than last month’s cover. However it’s a love and hate relationship, just like last month’s cover, but for today, I love it.

War For The Planet Of The Apes #2 Cover B Variant Jay Shaw Subscription Cover – FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS I love it
