Book to Watch – Immortal Hulk #20 2nd Printing

Marvel is changing it up a bit for their Immortal Hulk additional printings and issue #20 is really an awesome looking cover that should not be overlooked.

This book has flip potential. A thanks to TheOneAboveDonny for bringing this to our attention over in the forums.

Immortal Hulk #20 (2nd Printing) is already selling out online at Midtown and others while eBay online listings are starting out around $7.99 for pre-sales. But you can still find these from following the link above at TFAW.

I think once people find out the actual cover art of this is the penciled version of Alex Ross’s first print cover, these won’t last long and we can likely see an uptick in value as demand goes up.

  1. I am not a fan of B&W or sketch (pencils, whatever the above cover is called) covers. Can someone who does like them, tell me what the appeal is to them? The cover is fine, but its just not for me.

    1. I think it’s a personal taste type of thing to be honest. I love actual sketch variants or sketch artwork like this.

Having an original would be even cooler, knowing it’s a one of a kind.

When they call just the black and whites “sketch” variants, those are misleading I think since it’s not pencil sketches like this one is.

      1. Its definitely a personal taste thing, no doubt. Its not my thing, and I was trying to nderstand the appeal for those who do enjoy this style of cover. David Bs answer makes sense to me. I agree too, that owning the OA would be very cool.

    1. Yeah, that’s probably another reason I dig the actual sketches or sketchings.. it’s one step of the overall process. At least it’s not just the same cover with a different color for the title lettering or what not.

      1. I can understand that perspective, Poyo. I am not an artist by any stretch, so perhaps this is why I prefer final art w/ colours. To each their own. Variety is the spice of life. All good. Cheers.
