Since Covrprice.com came on the scene, they have become a go to spot for watching eBaytrends on comics. They scour thousands of eBay
sales to cultivate data to spotlight the hottest selling comics. Here is this week’s Top Ten Comics: (Please note, potential spoilers do follow, and, these results are for auction that closed last week. )
All Prices are raw copies:
1. VENOM #23 YOUNG VARIANT – Variant cover featuring Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman. This one sold 67 copies at an average of $19.37
2. LEGION OF MONSTERS #1 – Jared Leto made a tweet with this book. The tweet helped move 28 copies at an average of $15.09
3. STAR WARS THE RISE OF KYLO REN #3 LANDINI VARIANT – the variants for this series have been doing well. This issue sold 20 copies with an average price of $19.00
4. AVENGERS ANNUAL #10 – First appearance of Rogue, rumored to going up against Captain Marvel in the next movie. Rogue rumors pushed 44 copies of the book for an average raw price of $60.50.
5. GIANT-SIZE DEFENDERS #3 – This issue features the first appearance of Korvac. Korvac was potentially leaked as the main villain in Captain Marvel #2, which helped push 11 copies at an average raw price of $38.48
6. NATIONAL COMICS ROSE & THORN #1 – rumor of a young arose and Thorn appearing on HBO helped drive the sales of 19 copies at an average raw price of $17.73.
7. Spider-Woman #1 – More Marvel movie news with rumor of a Spiderwoman movie from Sony. 35 copies sold this week with an average raw price of $19.44. Such a cheap key to grab.
8. MS. MARVEL #12 – this issue features the first appearance of Red Dagger. Rumors are Red Dagger would appear on the Disney+ show. This moved 13 copies at an average raw price of $13.39.
9. THE UNCANNY X-MEN #171 – this book features the first appearance of Magick’s Soul Sword. The New Mutants trailer showed off the sword. 13 copies sold this week with an average sale price of $14.75
10. SPIDER-MAN UNLIMITED #1 – first appearance of Shriek who will be in Venom 2. 35 copies sold with an average raw price of. $12.25.

“Uncanny X-Men #171”, the market has being the 1st Appearance of Magik’s Soulward. That book is cover dated Jul ’83. However, Illyana creates and pulls the sword from her soul in “Magik #4″(Mar ’83). Wouldn’t then “Magik #4” be the key?
That’s how I would see it. Have both issues though so I am covered.
Korvac people still trying to put that one over after 3 different movie rumors were BS. The site that started the original Korvac rumor way back during GOTG2 should shut down.
Is there a reason the Modern era Rose and Thorn is getting more publicity than Lois Lane #105? I don’t get it.
