One Week Later Report for January 27th, 2022

This week we’ll be covering the books released on 01/19/2022, which was last weeks released titles.

These can be books that were simply overlooked or we anticipated getting hot, total surprise winners and perhaps books that got hyped, ending up as complete duds. Also could be a good list to use when out picking up this weeks books for you Wednesday Warriors..

Another one week later report with Marvel once again dominating the secondary market. But we’ll start off with the other publishers.

DC had a winner last week if you were able to find it at normal ratio prices or lower with Catwoman #39 Sozomaika Variant.

Flirted around the $150 range but has since dropped, putting it anywhere from $110 to $125 on recent sales. I expect it to continue to drop a bit before settling on a fair market value after most get their copy as there’s already a open order second print that some will opt for if they don’t care about ratio or first prints, just the cover art.

It’s not heating up but I wanted to highlight Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #125 RI cover by Mateus Santolouco which slipped by me as a possible awesome pick of the week. I love the details in this cover and the style. I don’t know much about this artist but I hope they keep pushing out more covers like this one.

Most of the solds were under the normal 1:10 RI retailer prices so could be a good way to score the incentive on the secondary.

Black Panther #1 1:25 2nd print Cabal Design variant was retailing around the $45 mark. Most secondary sales are at that same price point with a few under that threshold. So if you want this, keep a close eye on the market, I expect it to continue dropping as time passes.

Hulk #1 is in the same boat with a 1:25 variant that is selling mostly under the retailer price point. So if you dig sketch ratio variants, watch and you can likely score at a lower cost by being patient.

Did you grab a Hulk #3 last week? Well, if you didn’t, it’s an easy $15 to $20 book currently. Love him or hate him, you can’t deny Cates makes you flippers money!

Moon Knight #7 Rahzzah variant was a hit on the secondary. Currently it’s an easy $10 book on average with earlier sales going for a bit more. Still definitely a book for your Moon Knight collection.

Strange Academy #15 is another easy $10 book on average currently with some going upwards around the $15 range as well.

It’s also just a kick ass Ramos cover if you ask me.

Venom #4 had the classic homage that’s been done a bazillion times already. Still didn’t stop it from selling out at most retailers pretty quickly. Not going for too much on the secondary, with a lot of sales a little over cover price. If you missed out, you can score a cheap copy likely on eBay.
