July 13th is quickly approaching (well not quickly enough for me.) The Strain is coming, and the first trailer, that actually shows the characters has been released.
It looks fantastic. Sure, the show is based on the novel, but the trailer has the look and feel as fleshed out in the comic books. Hoping the first trailer provides a bump for The Strain comic as it has done with movie related comics, such as Guardians of the Galaxy.

The comic series resumes in August with The Night Eternal
TFAW had a sale on Strain back issues this past week, The Strain. Hope you were able to get in on it.

Anyone think The Fall or the new series coming out will be worth speculating? I know the show will need to be successful. Just curious if it does well would the Fall be worth holding onto for now?
Successful shows can last 7 years.
Peak would be 3-4 years in.
Since you are so close to release date hype is probably depending on the viewership and how the first season goes. As the anticipation hype is closing to an end.
Anticipation hype is the most powerful hype of all. It is rare to get longevity type hype such as the walking dead has produced.
But it is possible, such as shows like GoT or even fringe as examples.
On a flip side to the speculation, if you do not sell now you are risking a sour reception and that would also mean the anticipation hype would be the peak. Prices could crash or take a big hit.
If it is positive review and growing following, you can expect to see prices rise.
So you ask is it worth holding onto, That is always the golden question as it is gambling, if we knew it would be easy and we would all be rich. You have to have an exit strategy at some point be it short term or long term. So maybe try to play with ‘house money’ as in recoup your initial investment and then you can ride worry free your remaining inventory.
If you are up 10x-20x your initial investment per book I see no reason not to sell at least some.
I think so. I have a feeling that they will probably stick true to the original series of books, which the comics are based on. That gives three seasons. If it’s wildly popular they may go off on their own. Unless of course the stretch things out over multiple seasons and then you risk alienating readers.
