So I’m going to stick to the plans and challenge myself to read at least one comic and or trade every day during this lock down.
Tonight it’s going to be the very cool Unearth Volume 1 TPB from Image Comics and the man who pumps out new books like there’s no tomorrow, Cullen Bunn. I have a lot of Image Books to catch up on anyways as these are usually the books I pick up the first issue and if I like it, I wait for the trades to read more at a time.
This one sort of hits home a bit in our current situation, but at least in this story the contamination is sort of contained in underground caves. We could only be so lucky right?
Here’s the solicitation:
When a flesh-warping disease ravages a remote village in Mexico, a scientific task force travels to the inhospitable area to investigate the contamination. As victims of the illness are transformed in horrible ways, the task force traces the source of the disease to a nearby cave system-where they discover a bizarre, hostile ecosystem and a supernatural revelation from which they may never escape. This subterranean nightmare is brought to you by writers CULLEN BUNN (REGRESSION) and KYLE STRAHM (SPREAD) and rising star artist BALDEMAR RIVAS! Collects UNEARTH #1-5
TFAW still has the floppies available too, for those that don’t like trades.
What are you doing to pass the time? I know Anthony has been organizing his comics (40k+ comics is more than some shops likely have so he’s keeping busy), I’m trying to catch up on reading myself since I’ve been offloading a lot of my books in the past 2 years and don’t have nearly as many as I once did. Tell us in the comments or in the forums.
Read RESISTANCE if you haven’t .. the 1st two pages will trip you out.. I remember picking up the physical copy when it came out and I was like.. wtf..
I skimmed it as I got the BW preview book with it and some of the others at NYCC. I’ve been meaning to read it though.
Bought me the Punchline books from midtown thanks for the tip. Now I feel like I haven’t missed anything in 2 years not collecting.
There are a few great reads from the last two years too, Alana. Hulk is lots of fun and so was Hox n Pox.
