Last week was way more exciting in terms of new comics compared to this week. I guess all the publishers are out on summer vacation or something. Nothing really looks spec worthy, at least in terms of a quick flip but regardless, here’s the chicken’s picks of the week:
Death Head #1 (Dark Horse) – Horror horror horror.. and I’m pretty sure Tony is gonna recommend this one, since he’s the lover of horror. This one has classic horror movie all over it.
Book of Death #1 (Valiant) – Valiant has been hitting them out of the ball park lately, great art and great stories. I wouldn’t miss this event, especially with potential movies coming out of our favorite Valiant characters.
Godzilla in Hell #1 (IDW) – Cover B Subscription variant, just love that classic looking cover. My kid enjoys these (he’s named his leopard gecko Godzilla for crying out loud)..
Lastly, if your a lover of Rob! from Chew, try to find his Big Trouble in Little China cover B virgin variant.
I pre-ordered the Rob! variant last week…no missing out on this for me!
These IDW EC comics “homage” covers are awesome! I know TMNT is coming out with a killer one for #48.
Yeah. I have seen the IDW TMNT cover. Oddly, Avatar is also doing an homage cover to Marvel Comics #1 for Crossed 100 #10 that is pretty sick
