Cannot wait for The Strain to begin, especially in the hiatus of The Walking Dead tv show. The air date is July 13th.
I have been piecing together sets, quit selling Strain issues even though they are going for good money.
TFAW does have some copies of the first and second series for sale at $1 each.

I still can’t find decent copies of #2 and #3 from the first series. They seem harder to find than #1. There’s one #2 currently all alone for $65. There’s only one #3 for $16 which has way too many spine creases for me..
When I was putting together my set last year, #2 was the hardest issue for me to find,
I just got 2 #2’s for a $1 each. Actually got two sets of 2-11 at $1 each. #2 is a higher dollar book now.
I had sold some extra 3’s and 4’s earlier in the month. Putting together sets but not passing up 2-4’s when i can find them.
I gave up on 2 and 3 cause I either couldn’t find them or they were too much. I sold my set without them.
Drew, check eBay for #2 again. There’s one that’s new, looks to be in decent shape for $20 BIN
I see it, they claim VF condition. I see a few spine creases, looks like a few cover mishaps.. not sure. I’d hate to spend $20 on a comic with issues and still not be totally satisfied..
Issue 2 has been eluding you for a while. I know we had talked a while ago about them.
I am surprised that these books have not climbed even more in value as we get closer to the show.
If the show is good and becomes popular, attracts more viewers who want to read or collect the comics, then sell.
I have done good with these books. I have 4 #1 CGC’d 9.4. Keep them it you have them.

Do you guys think the 1 for $1 coming out will heat up? Probably wouldn’t hurt to get a few.
Those are for hooking new readers not speculators. Even with a hot title like saga they rarely heat up to over 10$ in any large numbers.
Yeah, the ones I missed out on I buy the $1 Firsts to give it a go.. I don’t really put much value in these, they’re usually so easy to find and or obtain.
2nd series (The Fall) seems to be holding at cover or below. How do you think it will do after the show starts?…Also, 3rd series coming out soon.
The first series with a show optioned built up the popularity so more comic shops were ordering “The Fall”.. These are still easily obtainable at most of my local shops.
True, but print runs are very low.
The Fall #1 is under 7500 and #9 under 3500
I know print run is not always the primary factor…I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how the books are affected as events and characters are introduced into the show.
I think the other factor is, this is sort of like chapter 2 within the series. Of course they’re numbered starting at 1 but I don’t really consider them number 1s. Anyone starting their reading at #1 The Fall would be lost in what’s going on..

Still I picked up a few from TFAW this past weekend for $1….just in case…if anything I’m pretty sure they will sell for the $1 I paid for them.
