With the announcement of Five Ghosts being optioned by NBC for a show, and with word from Frank Barbiere that a pilot could come this year, I figured it would be a good idea to look at the print runs for the series.

You can still get #1 Second prints at Midtown. #2 2nd prints were available yesterday evening but seem to be out of stock now. 😉

I’m pretty sure the print run on both second printings is 5k ea.
The comichron number is low because of ACTUAL numbers ordered through Diamond.
Both are still in stock.
Will update it. I do not have access to Diamond directly so I appreciate the correction.
Let this be a lesson to you buyers.. don’t go paying a premium for these yet, get your LCS to order the 2nd prints if they don’t have them so you can get them at retail so you can sell them at a premium.. 😉

I couldn’t contain myself, I nabbed a CGC 9.8 Five Ghosts #1 Phantom Signed for $120 BIN. I hope it pays off, all the other CGC 9.8 Five Ghosts were starting over $200.
a couple months ago i gamble on this book and bought a #1 CGC 9.8 signed for $40 LOL
i still think this is gonna go higher and higher, im not selling now!

I left off the exclusive variants with the 50 copy print runs in purpose. Most people will not get them to flip and a lot of those exclusives are in hands of collectors already.

I’m kidding. I know those SDCC covers are impossible now. But the cover I really wanted, and should have right now except for the seller losing it in the mail, was the ECCC cover with the vampire. sigh.

I’ve never seen the 2nd print cover yet, are you saying 2nd was the same as first? Maybe with one of those hard to see colourchanges. At least they started to print secondprint on the cover so you can tell.
What reasons do you think were the decrease in print numbers each month? It didn’t really catch on?
It actually dipped down and started a slight uptick/stabilized. Pretty common for modern small press. Has to find and hook it’s audience.
The reasons that cause this are speculators drop out as issues go on past #3, and readers can also drop out. A stability or increase is found when it gets a growing fan base.

Yea Random same cover as the 1st print (maybe a slight color change) my lcs over ordered the second print in my opinion..he’ll be sitting on them for awhile i suspect.

Larry if you were to make an educated guess, what would you say the print run will be for the 2nd print of outcast #1.
Outcast #1 second print cover is the same as first print. Just has a ‘second print’ under the 2.99$

Larry was talking about the Five Ghosts second prints I believe. The conversation trailed over to Outcast and I think people were commenting about both books and the conversation became entangled.
