In two weeks (3/16/20) we see the FOC on Marvels newest Mega Event, Empyre, and with it all the variants and ratios that one would expect.
In this weeks Marvel mailer we get a look at the issues going back for a second print and wouldn’t you know, there is Empyre scheduled for printing #2 even before Issue 1 has hit the market.

Whats even more interesting, when the 2nd prints were revealed on Wednesday, they had release dates before the 1st prints come out. Marvel must have noticed on Thursday and changed the dates.
My only guess is they already put in the order for first prints with whoever was printing them and saw more and more orders come in so they just started to print second prints after perhaps a cutoff time from the print press. But who knows, Marvel will never detail such things.
Thor #2 is getting a third print? Wonder what that cover art will be….black winter?

I know, I flipped one last week for a quick $15. Went back for another copy and was gone. I have one for the PC though…
It’s really only cover A, though, that’s been popular.
I got a local shop that has a stack of them. 😉
I came across a shop with a stack of Picard Countdown #1s (like 15 copies of the 1st print) last weekend….theses were consistently selling for $20 a few weeks ago….I grabbed 2 of the best copies, but can’t seem to move it at $15 at the moment…. ?♂️

I’ve been out of the loop on comic book news, so Empyre was barely on my radar, but I was excited to see Hulkling will be getting his own one-shot as part of the crossover. I’ve really been trying the last few crossovers to NOT buy all the tie-ins, but I’m making an exception for that one.
No Marvel events for me. I’ll even skip the issues in my pull list that crossover to the event. Secret Empire burned me so I’m bitter. Lol. I bought all of the tie-ins, one-shots, and miniseries…like 100+ books. I could have purchased some decent books with that wasted money (which I will never get back). Oh well, happy reading and buy what you like! Anyone want a full run of Secret Empire books…Cheap?
