April 10, 2019 is a special date for Blade Runner fans — it’s the exact date of rogue Replicant Leon “Let Me Tell You About My Mother” Kowalski’s inception. (Even casual fans remember Leon as the Nexus-6 synthetic human who shoots the Blade Runner giving him a Voight-Kompff empathy test during the film’s opening sequence inside the imposing Tyrell Corporation double pyramid).

This issue sees a pretty epic confrontation between Batman and the Joker. One where Joker pretty much lays out the truth of what he wants out of the relationship with Batman. Gunpowder & Sky’s sci-fi label DUST announced today that it has acquired the rights to Kyle Higgins (Nightwing, Batman: Gates of Gotham), Alec Siegel (Batman Beyond) and Rod Reis’ (Winter Soldier) interstellar noir comic, Hadrian’s Wall, and has partnered with Higgins to develop into a feature film that he will write and direct. Venom #13 is in stores April 24th. it is writting by Cullen Bunn, with Donny Cates taking a break for the issue. Add in it is a War of the Realms crossover and you have several factors going against the book: fill in creative team (Bunn is awesome though), part of a larger crossover, and a stand alone issue, normally this would be a book to not order heavy on.
