The Walking Dead one:
The Walking Dead #128- The new story arc continues. Issue 127 shot up in price.

Detective #32 The clear winner with the sexy Poison Ivy Cover. Not that the others are bad, I do like the Batgirl and Superman Wonder Woman ones
Batgirl #32
Green lantern Corp #32
Justice League United #2
Superman Wonder Woman #9
The non-movie movie one:
Blood Queen #1 – Sure it has no relation to the movie Maleficent, but the cross over potential is there to draw some readers in.
The pick of the week:
The Empty Man #1 – Boom keeps knocking it out the park lately. This one is no surprise. Lots of chatter about the book.
The one everyone will get anyway:
Manifest Destiny #7 -Silvestri variant.
You may have to chaise this one.

Comic Picks of the Week for Delivery 5/14/14

This summer has already started to heat up with the release of Southern Bastards, The Woods, and Nailbiters.
This week is another great week. Each week hundreds of new comics hit the shelves. We give our picks for the ones we think have the best shot at heating up. Here are our picks for delivery on 3/14/14:
The one with the Walking and the Dead:
Walking Dead #127 – You know I cannot resist putting a Walking Dead book in as a must pickup. The series will continue to grow, this is the first issue at the end of a story arch (tpb) and is always a good starting point for new readers. This is the first post-All out War issue. I always buy two copies of The Walking Dead, this one is going to be worth it.
The Marvel one:
The United States of Murder Inc. – Kind of reminds me of Evil Empire. It is Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming from Powers. A brand-new world of crime fiction like you’ve never seen before. In this oversized first issue, you will discover a world in which the families of organized crime never lost their stranglehold on the United States.
The weird indy vibe one for fans of Adventure Time:
Bee and Puppycat #1 – Natasha Allegri is simply amazing. She built up a huge fan following on Tumblr while working on the Adventure Time cartoon, then created Fionna and Cake, and heck, then she created BEE AND PUPPYCAT, the best thing ever!
also
LumberJanes #2 – Girl scouts and supernatural creatures. Best be prepared.
and the overall pick of the week, besides Walking Dead is:
Afterlife with Archie #5 Pepoy Variant – Love cheesecake, these covers do it justice. Grab two, this one could be a quick flip by weekend.

Diamond Comics Advanced Reorder List for 3/5/14

images
The Diamond Comics Advanced reorder list can be a great tool for comic book speculators. It shows what comic shops are upping their orders on before the final order cut off. They could be bumping up their orders due to a first issue selling better than expected, a new series getting heat on message boards and blogs, in store chatter, or what ever, they need more copies. This weeks is really telling (last weeks was kinda boring with all the All New Marvel now). Continue reading “Diamond Comics Advanced Reorder List for 3/5/14”

Last of Us Video game to get movie

We covered Last of Us American Dream a lot last year as the comic prequel, based on the game, was heating up (that is an understatement as it sky rocketed.) And then it cooled off some. If you were lucky enough to get stuck with copies, it may be time to think about selling them again as Deadline Hollywood broke the news a couple of hours ago that Sony will be making a movie. There are some big names linked to it too. Continue reading “Last of Us Video game to get movie”

Harley Quinn on Arrow?
