From time to time we like to spotlight artists doing Kickstarter funded books. They are great do it yourself books that do not get the attention they deserve. Not to mention it is the breeding ground of some great writers and artists who could go on to be big stars. The guys I really like to talk to are the guys who are even more entrenched in creating comics, and funding the books themselves. And the plot thickens. Initially, there were three covers; a color at 3,000 copies, a black and white at 2,000 copies, and a special hat-less cover at 1,000 copies. Aspen, in a pure cash grab move, tripled the print runs. Making them available again tomorrow morning for those who missed out. The color was now 9,000 copies, the black and white at 6,000 copies, and the special cover at 2,500. People who got their orders in were outraged. Me included.
