Who would be the Anti-Batman? Would it be the Joker? Batman is methodical and calculated, predictable even. He has a Bat-cave, drives the Bat-mobile, and throws Batarangs. On the flip side Joker is wild and crazy, unpredictable, but still has Joker gas and likes to make people “smile”. But what if there was an Anti-Batman? One more like the character in Nemesis by Mark Millar? Could Batman #38 be leading up to this? Most certainly there is a new character introduced in Batman #38. But will this lead up to a new villain?

I am more of a Halloween guy than a Christmas guy, but the whole winter season is dark and foreboding. One of the Yuletide myths I love is Krampus. If you are not familiar he is the anti-Santa. He would ride around with Santa and punish the bad kids. Whipped if they were lucky, thrown in his sack and taken home with him if they weren’t. But I digress. Dark Horse is putting out Hellboy Krampusnacht on December 20th. It features the dream team of story by Mike Mignola and cover and art by Adam Hughes. There is a killer pencil cover as well.
