I survived FCBD by going camping instead, leave the trip planning to the women and you too will miss FCBD. Regardless, camping was a blast. The only other person who cared was my 6 year old daughter who was sad she was going to miss Star Wars day (she thinks FCBD is Star Wars Day cause one of the shops has almost nothing but Star Wars cosplayers there), so very cute. So here I sit. Just about an hour after getting out from seeing Avengers Age of Ultron, and about an hour before the one store I go to has there FCBD midnight release. I was going to put up a spec list. I saw my buddy Dakoit over at Dakoit’s Comic Book Speculation blog had a great one up. So here are his picks of the weekend for FCBD:
There will be a total of 50 books for FCBD tomorrow, and while everyone’s pick may vary, here are mine, qualified with reasons. While these books are currently selling for the prices indicated below, there is a very short window to make flips. All the power to those that do, but please try keep the ‘hording itch’ to the minimum. Free Comic Book Day is supposed to a fun day, and a great way to expose kids to the joys of reading. Wednesday One to Watch: Justice League #40
UGHHH. I had a post in pending status for Wednesday, based off a Monday conversation with Mel The Movie Guy that I though hit that didn’t. So changing it up.
Justice League #40 out (this past) Wednesday is one to look out for. I usually shy away from DC books, but this one is definitely one to keep an eye out on.
