Hey CHU readers, It’s time for another Free Comic Wednesday brought to you by DrunkWooky and Most Good Hobby
Most Good Hobby has been nice enough to sponsor us with a copy of their Champions #1 variant. It’s a beautiful homage of the Vision’s first appearance, Avengers #57. The Champions #1 variant puts The Vision’s daughter, Viv in the lead role lording over her pathetic Champions teammates. Awesome homage here. 'Shin Godzilla' Theatrical Run Extended
I sent Poyo out to the US Premiere in New York during Comic Con week. Sadly, I didn’t make it, and I am a huge Godzilla fan.
Godzilla, King of the Monsters, has taken over North America. The limited theatrical engagement of “SHIN GODZILLA” was scheduled to close tonight but in the wake of overwhelming fan response, Funimation Films announced that the movie will be extended due to popular demand. A special Saturday matinee screening of the film will take place on October 22 in more than 200 theaters across the U.S. and Canada. In addition, multiple national theater chains will be offering daily screenings of “SHIN GODZILLA” in select locations thru October 27. A complete list of locations for both this Saturday’s matinee as well as the new daily screenings is available via a theater locator on the official film website. Greetings to my Comics Heating up & Awesomesauce families. I am now recovered from the 2016 New York comic-con. It was such a blast . If you have never been to a major comic book convention or have visited the place I call home, New York, city then you must try NYCC next year.
I had such a blast hanging out with Anthony, Agent Poyo and Tyson B. on Thursday night. We got lost in the subway, ate New York style pizza, drank beer, and chatted comic books and life. It was such awesome-sauce. Continue reading “Blind Adam's Hidden Gems Vol. 30”

Poyo's Picks for October 12, 2016
So NYCC was a blast. It was nice meeting people and hanging with Anthony and Tyson from ToyBoxOne. Met Mel as well, but with the crowds and such, we all sort of went our own way at times. Shout out to Larry as well from Larry’s Comics, great pleasure to finally meet you in person.
A huge thanks to Anthony though for hooking us up with hotel reservations, con connections and that uber ride back to the airport on the way out of the city on Sunday, back to our regularly scheduled programmed lives.
Since I survived the weekend, let’s talk about comics some more shall we? It’s a huge week this week and there is just literally tons of good stuff hitting the shelves. So I’m going to change it up again. I’m going to stick with my DC and Marvel Picks, but then I’m going to make sure there’s always an Indie pick, which will hopefully be my main focus. Yes, out of the dozens of comics I pick up each week, I’m going to narrow it down to just one pick I think you should either read, keep or flip. Sometimes I might think it will be a quick flip. Sometimes it might just be something you hold onto for a long time. So let’s move on. Continue reading “Poyo's Picks for October 12, 2016”

The Comic Mint Offering Secret Special on Deadpool Back In Black NYCC Set
One book that I ended up getting a bunch of copies of, and selling very well all NYCC Weekend was The Comic Mint’s Dead pool Back In Black NYCC Variant. The sets were selling for $25 at the show and selling for over $40, with the 3 issue sets selling for more than that. The Comic Mint is offering a secret special where readers can get the sets for a low price as well. There were only 500 copies of the NYCC variant made so this one is worth looking at for flip potential. Continue reading “The Comic Mint Offering Secret Special on Deadpool Back In Black NYCC Set”
