I am going to tell you something completely against your instincts. Forget the free comics on FCBD. Skip over the 50 cent bins for a few minutes. Ignore the snacks or anything else your local comic shop is offering, and go for the Dorbz! Continue reading “Free Comic Book Day Battle Plan: Funko Dorbz”
Another week and more great items have been hot off the truck and going up for pre-order. Here are a few of those items as well as a few top sellers (in no particular order)
With word out earlier this year that Matt Trakker would be appearing in GI Joe 3 (movie) and with the 30th anniversary of MASK coming up, it is no surprise that Hasbro would do something with the Mobile Armored Strike Kommand line of toys.
Remember the 80’s?!
We all know that what old is cool again and if it aint retro is sucks. Well the toy market seems to follow suit. Not going back but seems like everything this week was GI Joe or Transformers. And looking at the summer box office one wouldn’t be far off. (Movies are currently early 90’s). Plus it was a light week with everyone celebrating the Independence of this great nation. So let me quit rambling and get on with it. Continue reading “Think Outside the Toybox: It’s the 80’s all over again”

I took a much-needed vacation last week so forgive me for playing catch up. Before we get serious a quick side note. So we had Bush and Clinton running for the White House, Jurassic World is #1 in theaters and Terminator is out next month. You would think it’s 1992 all over again. There is only one thing missing, Furbys! (Yes, I know they are ’98) That’s right; Furbys are back and in demand just like back in the day. Now add the Internet and they are all kinds of creepy. I didn’t take everyone serious last July when people were telling me to stock up for Holidays. I have kids of my own and we aren’t going to make that mistake twice. Star Wars Black Series Discontinued Waves.
Our Friend Tyson B. at www.toyboxone.com got word that Star Wars Black Series Waves 2-7 are being discontinued. Some of the figures are already hard to find, I imagine this will make them harder to find.
We might be beating a dead horse but Avengers: Age of Ultron is going to be the biggest movie of the decade. It already grossed just over $200 million this past weekend in only 55% of the international markets, and that’s not including China. That said it might be a good idea to start grabbing everything Age of Ultron.

If you are crazy enough to spec Pops I got an update of what Pops Funko plans to put in the vault (retire). It’s mostly MLB Pops, and some Boxtrolls. One notable one is Electro from Amazing Spider-Man 2. Here is a list of some of the vaulted Pops: Continue reading “Think Outside the Toy Box: NEW & VAULTED POPS”
I just wanted to drop by with some new Pops I noticed go up this week, as well as some that came off the truck. (These might have been up already for pre-order on other sites, I just noticed here) There are tons of Pops for everyone’s taste constantly hitting shelves so I know I am missing some. This is not a complete list of what was delivered or put up for pre-order, just what I thought was worth noting. I am far from a Pop expert and I know my way of thinking is not like everyone else. With that said, let me know what I missed or you think the next hot Pop is going to be. Continue reading “Think Outside the Toy Box: Pops!”

I’ve been on bit of a break, but it looks like the word on the street is true and Marvel Legends Avengers Wave 2 have been spotted out in the wild. This is going to be a huge wave because the BAF (build a figure) is none other than the Mad Titan himself, Thanos. It is hot off the truck today and is selling extremely well at the wholesale level so don’t wait too long. Remember one of the keys, first to market wins.
