Whats Up CHU? Its Mel V. back with another edition of Variants of the Week. Recap of last weeks variants Street Fighter Swimsuit was a pretty big hit, hope you found some and did well. Also a sleeper was the Blank Variant for Seven to Eternity that wasn’t on my radar but its doing pretty well, and it was a pain in the arse to find in stores. This week I have a small spec and a cosplay monster as well as a indie variant you may want to keep your eye on. So without further delay LETS GET INTO THE GETTING INTO (I’m working on catch phrases) Shout out to Eldin C on the check in. Continue reading “Mel V.’s Variant Picks of the week for 9/28/16”

Agent Poyo's Picks of the Week for Sept. 28th, 2016

Welcome to Poyo’s picks of the week, where I give you my chicken wisdom in what I think you should be picking up or reading. Sometimes I’m even right and nail a spec, but that’s a rare occurrence.
Last week’s winner (Seven to Eternity) was kind of a no brainer, but it did end up heating up way faster than I anticipated. Maybe I can pick this weeks winner and get two weeks in a row, since getting one spec right is an accomplishment in itself. Continue reading “Agent Poyo's Picks of the Week for Sept. 28th, 2016”

I just want to say Superwoman #2 was a great read. All Star Batman #2 was my book of the week. Why in Rebirth is All Star Batman & Detective Comics, especially #940, better then the main Batman book? Oh and Red Bull is the greatest drink ever made. Now, lets make some money on some comics, because you can’t teach that. Continue reading “Blind Adam's Hidden Gems Vol. 28”

Mel V.'s Variant Picks of the week for 9/21/16

WHAT UP CHU? Mel V back with your weekly dose of Variants. Right out of the gate I gotta say I’m totally shocked at how well that Silk Cosplay is doing in the aftermarket, selling for 30-45 bucks. Not bad. Last week’s Black Panther Udon variant, I had no idea there would be that many out there, I was wrong about that one being hard to find. But to make it up to you, I have got some decent variants this week on my radar. So, lets get into the getting in to Continue reading “Mel V.'s Variant Picks of the week for 9/21/16”

HookJaw Cover Art Released

As a huge Jaws fan, one book I am really looking forward to is HookJaw coming out from Titan Comics. HookJaw was a serial released in Action #1 (a British publication not the DC one) that was so gory it was banned. The original story is hard to find as a result. Si Spurrier, who recently did Cry Havok and previously worked on Six Gun Gorilla has reimagined the story and it will be coming out shortly. We previously ran the promo art, but the covers to the series are out and I am really excited for this one.  Continue reading “HookJaw Cover Art Released”

Variant Envy: Deadpool Back in Black #1 Dale Keown Comic Mint Variant

The Comic Mint is doing something interesting with their variant for Deadpool Back in Black #1. First, they have a color and black and white variant for the book done by Dale Keown. It is limited to 1500 color and 1000 black and white copies. They are also releasing a NYCC Variant of the cover with the NYCC logo. But that is not the cool thing. They have special pricing on the book making them as cheap as $5.97 per copy for the color variant. Continue reading “Variant Envy: Deadpool Back in Black #1 Dale Keown Comic Mint Variant”

Blind Adam’s Hidden Gems Vol. 27

Greetings to my Awesomesauce and Comics Heating Up families. Thank you all for reading this each and every week. Before I give the top twenty gems of the week, I want to make an observation. Why aren’t the classic cartoons on dvd? No Spiderman and his Amazing Friends. No 1982 or 1987 Incredible Hulk, No Filmations Superboy. And the official Tick Animated has certain episodes cut out, whats up with that?
Superman #6 is my comic of the week. Loved it. If you have the time, go watch Cartoon All Stars to the Rescue on Youtube. What a PSA on the evils of drugs. Well, now lets make some money with some comics and you can’t teach that. Continue reading “Blind Adam’s Hidden Gems Vol. 27”
