Last Wednesday was a huge day for comics. A ton of books hit the shelf in time for people to be off work for the Thanksgiving holiday (here in the states that is.) Next week is another big week and here are some of the books worth scoping out.
Bleeding Cool made mention the other day that Sony had secured the website domain for a Last of Us movie. Continue reading “‘Last of Us’ movie?”
Larime Taylor contacted me the other day, while I was away for my family holiday, to let me know he has his website up and running to where you can order signed and sketched editions on the Top Cow book and the Kickstarter. Continue reading “Voice in the Dark Signed and Sketched edition”
So I have been running banners for TFAW.com ‘s big sale they have going on because they had some huge deals. Comics and graphic novels are up to 80% off. Since I am a huge horror and horror comic fan, I scooped up a ton of stuff, much of which is worth the flip. Continue reading “Hellboy, Walking Dead, and Creepy & Eerie flip Idea”
The Diamond Comics Advanced reorder list is an excellent insight into what is potentially hot. Shops are going in and reordering books before the final order cut off. These books could have gained interest from a recent first issue, popular story line, chatter on message boards, or customers coming in and asking about them. Whatever the reason, retailers are stocking up on these books. Continue reading “Diamond Comics Advanced Reorder List for 11/29/13”
‘The Wolverine’ at Walmart for $3.96, not so fast
Kind if comic book related, a great flip if it worker out. Walmart had advertised ‘The Wolverine’ on Blu-ray for $3.96 on Thanksgiving evening. However, they used the wrong picture. Instead of it being the correct, albeit, horrible x-Men Wolverine Origins, they advertised ‘The Wolverine’, the new Hugh Jackman film. Walmart has been plagued with errors lately and refuse to honor their own ad.
As I am sitting down with my family for dinner, I wanted to take a second to wish my comicsheatingup.net family a happy thanksgiving as well. Continue reading “Happy Thanksgiving”

Uncanny Avengers #14 as a speculator book? I do not usually write a lot about Marvel or DC books, however, sometimes the sneak things in and people and retailers do not notice. Well I know some retailers may have noticed. But needless to say, not a lot of press on this issue. Continue reading “Uncanny Avengers #14 a book to pick up”
Man, I cannot believe some of the books being listed. There is a ton of great stuff. There are currently 5 pages of books (please keep it to comics or toys) that are being linked. I wish you guys all well with the sales. I know I am going to be shopping some of the stuff you are putting up. I will have a side bar up later that directly links to he deals and will be up until next Tuesday. Plus will be linking to all the deal in every post until next Tuesday.
So, if you haven’t had a chance to see what people have up, check out Comicsheatingup.net Community Black Friday deals
Awesome that you guys were so into this idea. It is a great chance to hopefully drive up views on your auctions and sales.
To get all books seen from all sellers, including yours from other sellers just do these two things:
1. Place CHU Black Friday at the end of your auction title.
2. Open this pdf file and copy the html into your auction body. It ensures all listings are seen from any auction comics heating up
Current items can be viewed below. There are already some great books up including a X-Men #38 Fn condition, and some Sixth Gun signed books for cover price.
So here is the idea, I am going to post a bunch of Auctions and By It Nows on eBay in preparation for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I don’t want to pass up the chance to capitalize on the two biggest shopping days of the year. Continue reading “The Comics Heating Up Black Friday / Cyber Monday idea”
