NYCC Day one

What a whirlwind of a day. Got up at 5:00 showered, and hit the highway. The normal three hour trip took about five putting us a little late for the show. I finally met up with Mel V. at the show and got to meet reader Beau (aka Minty Man Cave Comics). We got to talk for a little bit but it was time to hit the con floors.

Dark Horse Announces NYCC Exclusives

Seriously, NYCC is bigger than SDCC. Attendance last year was higher at New York than San Diego. Crazy huh? No wonder comic publishers want to get there books out in front of comic fans there.

NYCC Tickets go on sale 5/13/15

Con season is starting again. NYCC tickets going on sale soon. Hope to see you there. I had a blast in 2014 so can’t wait until October.
ReedPOP, the world’s largest producer of pop culture events, today announced that tickets for New York Comic Con along with the second annual New York Super Week will go on sale online beginning Wednesday, May 13 at 12:00 PM EDT. This year fans will have three options to purchase tickets for New York Comic Con, including online at the New York Comic Con website, on-site at Special Edition: NYC 2015 on Pier 94 June 6-7 and an event at Midtown Comics later this summer the exclusive retailer for NYCC 2015. New York Super Week takes over the Big Apple October 5-11 with the crown jewel event, New York Comic Con, taking place October 8-11 at the Javits Center. NYCC Experience

I’d like to share some of the things I observed as well as encountered throughout the four day NYCC experience. As Anthony has covered, the Wytches #1 NYCC Variant was a main focus of many throughout the convention. From my discussions at the con, coming in at second place for highly sought after books was Enormous. 215 Ink had a healthy supply of all covers that began to quickly fly off the table as they did off the ComicXposure table as well for the issue 4C and D covers. The one that many were seeking most was the NYCC #1 variant limited to 106 copies. Continue reading “NYCC Experience”
