It is sold out at TFAW, which normally sells out early of small press books, but also sold out at Midtown, which is a good sign. (Make sure to check out Mycomicshop between 7 and 8 PM if you are looking for copies as their books go on sale around this time). Mindbender #1 definitely has peoples attention. Regression By Cullen Bunn Review

Image Comics has been on quite a tear lately. Recent releases Seven to Eternity, God Country, and Redneck all combined excellent story and reasonable print runs to achieve immediate sellouts and significant price appreciation on the secondary markets. Expect Regression #1, already sold out at Diamond ahead of its release this coming week from IMAGE, to follow suit. Continue reading “Regression By Cullen Bunn Review”

Alana's Weekend Specs: Bat Crazy

Hey there CHUniverse, Welcome back to Weekend Specs! Slow week for new comic book related TV and movie news. This week Runaways was picked up for its first season, I’ve already spec’d these in the past so going to skip writing these up again. We also have Defenders trailer dropping and I have a little news and speculation to go with that. So with the light news week I’m going to spend some time talking up a few cheap Batman villains. Time tells us the different villains of Batman are a safe bet for a price increase, all it takes these days is whisper of a movie appearance and the book will take off. Look at the Al Ghul, Jason Todd, Killer Croc, Deadshot, Deathstroke, Bane, and of course Harley price increase over the last 8 years and you will see a pattern of big batty villains jumping up the price books. Going to cover a lot this week so let’s jump in!!! Continue reading “Alana's Weekend Specs: Bat Crazy”

One Year Later: Picks of the Week for 5/4/16

Thanks again to Shawn B. the One Year Later Investigator
What up CHUms!?! Back again with another One Year Later round up. Big week on potentially hot comics. Great to see after last week’s mediocre releases. All the guys did a pretty decent job on their specs. Which I appreciate not only because I bought most of them but also because I hate giving bad news. Out of 21 Specs only 1 went down in value, with 10 winners and 10 holding at the same value.
Let’s do it!
