SXSW Film Festival Streams On-line Free on Amazon

Conventions, concerts, sporting events, and pretty much everything else fun that provides enjoyment and fulfillment in life is closed. Theaters and film festivals too. South By Southwest, the popular Austin Texas area film festival has been canceled. But thankfully many event organizers are taking the events online. ComicsPro Sends Email to Remind Retailers to Order FOC From Diamond


Not sure if ComicsPro is picking sides between Diamond and the two new publishers that have sprung up since the Diamond shut down, but the Comic Retail Organization, ComicsPro, has sent out an email reminding of FOC dates. Throwback Thursday

It’s been a few weeks since the last Throwback Thursday, which I apologize for. Been busy juggling work, school for kids, crap to do around the house and just quite frankly, trying to find any motivation at all is exhausting.

This week I’m heading back to April of 1972..  where Marvel kicked off a new title and the creators Roy Thomas and Gil Kane revamped a relatively unknown character into someone we, the comic book world, all know today…..

Blind Adam Hidde Gems Vol. 116

Greetings to my Comics Heating Up family. Thank for reading this each and every week. Thank you to everyone I have talked to during this difficult time. This is a weird time for comics, popular culture, and the world at large. Lets remember to help and love one another during this time. I wanted to point out  a few things before we jump in. First off Batman/The Flash The Button is an amazing story I think we will see some pay offs from this book down the road still. Second, I think the Green Hornet TV show is better then the 66 Batman show at times. Mark Millar’s Sharky the Bounty Hunter is a fun read and I hope we get a movie or a cartoon or something soon. Now lets make some money with some comics cause you can’t teach that

A Diamond Contradiction – What’s Going On Over At Diamond?

So a few days ago, after DC already announced they were proceeding with new distributors besides Diamond to start pushing comics out to retailers, Diamond sent a followup to retailers claiming basically a don’t worry, orders already placed will be fulfilled type of email.

Yet, now it appears almost everything in the FOC monthly at Diamond for DC has vanished.
