SDCC 2019 Cosplay Gallery

I felt there were strangely less coplayers than previous years.  I don’t know why but the speculation was more strict prop policies mixed with all of Harbor being shut down in front of the convention center for badge holders only – it was simply more difficult to get close to the convention.  Doesn’t mean there wasn’t many talented and creative people to take pics of.  I really loved the family doing the Jurassic Park characters. Tell us who your favorites are in the comments! Continue reading “SDCC 2019 Cosplay Gallery”

Cruzzer’s Phoenix Fan Fusion Wrap Up

PHXLogo

This 4 day long event on Memorial Weekend always brings many surprises, and this year the weather in Phoenix was very cooperative with the barometer highs reaching 76, 88, 94, and 85. Normally Phoenicians  are already dealing with weather at 97-110 degrees, so it was a blessing to not only cos-players,  but the people who didn’t have to put up with smells of sweaty odor, as much, this year. What a change.. Continue reading “Cruzzer’s Phoenix Fan Fusion Wrap Up”

Tucson Comic Con 2018 Wrap Up

Tucson Comic Con is about 2 hours outside of Phoenix and has been growing their annual con over the years. Today it’s a very well run event with over 10K attendees and well worth my drive. The show brought some legends like Dennis O’Neil as well as rising stars like Eric M Esquivel (Border Town). I was only able to attend Sunday, so here are a few quick highlights: Continue reading “Tucson Comic Con 2018 Wrap Up”

San Diego Comic Con 2018 Cosplay Gallery

Cosplayers are one of the best parts of attending any comic convention. They were not around conventions when I was a kid, and it’s a blessing to have them today.  They bring our favorite characters to life.  Check out the Cosplay that was on display in San Diego! Phoenix Comic Fest 2018 Cosplay Gallery

Cosplayers went all out as usual.  They are always good but this year was on another level. I always try to catch as many of the endless Harley variants as I can. One of my favs is Amber Brite (www.amberbrite.com), a fantastic cosplayer and prop maker.  I regularly see her at conventions. She is super nice, wears an amazing new outfit every day, and should probably be on a Hollywood set with her prop and prosthetic making skills. Met the very charming Ashm0nster (twitch.tv/ashm0nster) who knocked it out of the park with her Junko E cosplay, and I discovered her awesome Twitch channel. Kudos to Cos A Commotion for an incredible GOTG set at their booth, plus taking donations and giving proceeds to Pets for Vets.

Ace Comic Con 2018 Cosplay Gallery

Cosplayers are usually the most charming part of attending a comic con.  Wasn’t sure what to expect at a new show, new location, new time of year.  As always, cosplayers were out in force, especially on Saturday when there was a cosplay contest on the big celebrity stage to showcase their efforts.  I always love seeing Lady Death cosplay, and shout out to Alina Masquerade (@alinamasquerade) for an incredible Jessica Rabbit cosplay and being one of the cosplay judges.  Additional shout out to Keely Madison (@itskeelymadison) for her killer Joker cosplay.  Check out the pics! Amazing Arizona Comic Con is in its sixth year. I have written about the Amazing shows before, and how it is uniquely a true comic book convention. The gist of the story now is seeing the year over year improvement. The show is better run than ever, and attendees can ensure a great time if they attend an Amazing show. Awesome Con Cosplay wrap up day two

Sadly I did not get to spend as much time on the show floor as I did Friday. Between talking to Kevin Eastman and hoping in the car to drive an hour north for the Fight Club signing, my attention was diverted else where. Here are the cosplay photos from Saturday. Including a very interesting American Horror Story Coven cosplay:

Cosplay of NYCC 2014

Comic Con’s are a great place to see many things, including people dressing up as their favorite characters. NYCC was no different and the cosplayers of NYCC killed it. Sorry for the delay in getting these up. We will migrate them to our Facebook site this week. Continue reading “Cosplay of NYCC 2014”

Baltimore Comic Con Cosplay Round Up Day 3

Sunday was a great day at the convention. Tons of deals to be had. My four year old son started out as spider-man and ended the day as Captain Americs. Yes, the boy had a costume change in the middle of the day. Here are more cosplayers from Sunday. Let us know which you like best.
