Once again, that time is upon us. This week it’s the middle of the month for May, with two Wednesdays now behind us and two still in front, hopefully a winner will come out of this weeks books unlike the past few weeks which seem to be a little more dead, at least with books carrying any heat.

Poyo’s Trade and/or Hardcover Picks of the Week
We shouldn’t just collect or flip books, we should also read them. A good story can make your purchase well worth the money spent if you ask me. After all, we buy books to read for entertainment right? Even if you can’t flip them, reading is just as rewarding.

Y: The Last Man – List of Key Appearances
It’s been a long time coming but finally we see the light at the end of the tunnel. Y: The Last Man from Vertigo Comics and the great writer Brian K. Vaughn is coming to life on our screens from FX networks which appears to likely be in 2020.
This series ran for 60 issues and has a huge cast of characters within the story line. We won’t know until the show airs if some of these characters are prominent or not as they’ll likely change it up a little bit in the show, nevertheless, this is hopefully a good starting point for key firsts for some of the characters in the story.

One to Watch: Survivors Club
October is here! That means the Halloween season is upon us. My favorite time of the year. Need to get the decorations out and start setting up my Yard Haunt (includes me dressed as a scary scare crow to scare the crap out of some of the kids.) Anyway, it is also time to focus on horror books as this is an excellent time of the year to sell horror back issues (really is.) Mel shot me a text about this one and I instantly fell in love. Survivors Club is out next week and should be worth the check out. Continue reading “One to Watch: Survivors Club”
