We spec, I drek and sometimes I’m actually right on both. That’s the game when it comes to spec’ing. So we dive into another week of the comic book world that is like Christmas in the middle of the week.

Remember Once Our Land, which was an original Kickstarter graphic novel turned Scout Comics two issue comic book? Well, for fans of Once Our Land, the creator Peter Ricq is bringing back this popular series with Once Our Land 2.
Not a big spec week for me but there certainly could be a few surprises. A lot of indie books hit stands this week but for my pick I went with a book that saw some heat on it’s first issue.
CHU loves independent and small publishers. So when a new book from Scout Comics is announced, we certainly check it out.

Scout Comics, who have been on fire both with critics and in the secondary market with hits such as Henchgirl and most recently Solarman and Once Our Land #1’s both hitting $20-30 in their first week. Well don’t expect that heat to die down anytime soon with the latest two titles being announced at SDCC ’16.
