Not sure if ComicsPro is picking sides between Diamond and the two new publishers that have sprung up since the Diamond shut down, but the Comic Retail Organization, ComicsPro, has sent out an email reminding of FOC dates. Also mentions the fact that all DC Orders from Diamond have been zeroed out and must be reordered on FOC. Continue reading “ComicsPro Sends Email to Remind Retailers to Order FOC From Diamond”

A year ago, we spec’d on new books hitting the shelves. Now it’s time to see what books from a year ago are doing now on the secondary and direct market.
Also, don’t forget to wish Anthony a Happy Birthday over in the forums.
Not sure about the rest of you folks but this is not surprising, news from DC is that they have the final say on their own products, not Diamond.
Click continue to see the direct market email they just sent out regarding their new comics.

It’s been a few weeks since the last Throwback Thursday, which I apologize for. Been busy juggling work, school for kids, crap to do around the house and just quite frankly, trying to find any motivation at all is exhausting.
This week I’m heading back to April of 1972.. where Marvel kicked off a new title and the creators Roy Thomas and Gil Kane revamped a relatively unknown character into someone we, the comic book world, all know today…..
Some books we just take for granted that they are awesome. One such book is Amazing Fantasy #15. This book takes the spotlight in the 1962 Alley Awards. check out the awards book below for some real awesome comic history. Continue reading “Cool Comic History: 1962 Alley Awards”
Greetings to my Comics Heating Up family. Thank for reading this each and every week. Thank you to everyone I have talked to during this difficult time. This is a weird time for comics, popular culture, and the world at large. Lets remember to help and love one another during this time. I wanted to point out a few things before we jump in. First off Batman/The Flash The Button is an amazing story I think we will see some pay offs from this book down the road still. Second, I think the Green Hornet TV show is better then the 66 Batman show at times. Mark Millar’s Sharky the Bounty Hunter is a fun read and I hope we get a movie or a cartoon or something soon. Now lets make some money with some comics cause you can’t teach that

So a few days ago, after DC already announced they were proceeding with new distributors besides Diamond to start pushing comics out to retailers, Diamond sent a followup to retailers claiming basically a don’t worry, orders already placed will be fulfilled type of email.
Yet, now it appears almost everything in the FOC monthly at Diamond for DC has vanished.

Looks like DC is pushing ahead hard with relaunching their comics, including soliciting for comics they had said they were waiting on releasing. Batman #92 being the most anticipated Continue reading “DC Puts Batman #92 On 5/4 FOC List From UCS Distributors”

So DC is shipping again, bypassing Diamond. Some are happy about this while others are crying foul. Regardless of the politics behind it all, here at CHU we talk about new books, so that’s what we’re gonna do.
So please leave the politics out and just talk about the books that might be hitting a few store shelves (which most will be fulfilled by online sales and or curbside pickup to start off with most shops who are actually getting these books).

Greetings my Comics Heating Up family. How is everyone holding up during this locked down time? Hope your all safe, healthy, and enjoying some amazing entertainment and making money online. Before we make money with comics I want to point a few things out, Fantastic Four X-Men #3, Hell Arises #4, and Spawn #306 were my reads of the week. The Chilling Tales of Sabrina season 3 was epic. I really enjoyed Birds of Prey and I am excited for May 1st as we get the rest of Rick and Morty season 4. Remember to wash your hands, stay at home, and be safe, now lets make the money with some comics cause you can’t teach that. Continue reading “Blind Adam’s Hidden Gems Vol. 115”
