Aloha CHUniverse and welcome back to Weekend Specs! This week we focus on the Green Lanterns coming to media and the Flashpoint movie. Flashpoint should be easy for most as we already have done a weekend specs for it when it happened on the CW. So DC put out a DC Previews that has spoiler pages for a bunch of their books coming out in the coming weeks. The first one is Batman #94 where it seems this could be the identity reveal of The Designer.
Now that Previews seems to be updating now with new books from most if not all publishers, I’ll break down my own picks coming out of Previews.

DC is going full steam ahead with ration variants. The latest chapter in the Sandman Universe arrives in August with The Dreaming: Waking Hours #1! Writer G. Willow Wilson and artist Nick Robles team for this new series, featuring Dream’s latest creation: Ruin, the nightmare of catastrophic failure — who lives up to his name a little too well. People have said over and over again that Free Comic Book day books aren’t worth anything, but time and again books pop up that end up being worth money, even with the comics being mass produced in great quantities. The Halloween Comic Fest Version of Ultimate Fallout 4 is a great example (OK I know it is technically not a FCBD edition, but same thing really). Here is one worth looking for. Reader beware, there be spoilers ahead!
All-America Comix #1 is a frustrating book. It’s enjoyable in its own right, but frustrating. At first glance, you think this book is a standalone America Chavez book from Marvel. And you’d be half –er 33%– right. Upon closer inspection, the book is of course an Image comics release, but written by Joe Casey, America’s original creator from Marvel’s 2011 Vengeance.
