Gideon Falls Meets The Walking Dead In Upcoming Series Stillwater

This ongoing series might be a good replacement for you Walking Dead fans and possibly Revival fans. Anyone recall Revival, seems eerily similar, possibly without the ghosts though.

Stealth #1 – Sneak Peek Preview

Stealth is a new Skybound series from the creative minds of Robert Kirkman and Marc Silvestri. With a deal already in place for Universal (Lee Daniels tapped to direct) to create this as a film, could be an interesting book to watch. Most of the time media deals told in advance don’t help speculation.

Hardcore Gears Up To Save The World

Long ago, there was a book Robert Kirkman put out called Hardcore that had potential to be a pretty good book. I actually liked it and owned it when I first started to get back into comics. I was actually confused on why it didn’t have any issues beyond issue #1.
It now looks like that book is coming to life again, from writer Andy Diggle and Alessandro Vitti.

San Diego Comic Con 2018 Wrap Up

San Diego Comic Con, the Nerd Superbowl, started on July 18th.  This was definitely a transition year for SDCC. Almost everything is a lottery now.  On one hand, it’s an even playing field. On another hand, those who are more vigilant and willing to work harder don’t get an advantage.  Depends on your definition of fairness. Attendees could sign up in what’s called an “Exclusives Portal” for lotteries to all major signings and exclusive booths.  I entered for almost everything in every time slot. I won nothing. Squat. So we can say I wasn’t a big fan this year. My main request of SDCC is to only allow each winning attendee to win only once, since some people won multiples while some won nothing. NYCC 2015: Interview with Outcast’s Paul Azaceta

Thanks to STEVEN BISCOTTI at Whatchareading for the interview.

Friday, during a busy afternoon at New York Comic Con, What’cha Reading had the opportunity to speak with Paul Azaceta, the popular artist behind the unsettling visuals of Robert Kirkman’s latest title – Outcast. The already year old comic by Skybound and Image is soon to be a television series on Cinemax; its only added to the intensity of fandom that the New Jersey based and Cadence Comic Art represented artist has encountered. So, on this crowded and more attended than SDCC event, we found Paul Azaceta at the Skybound booth and spoke to him about everything from his experience at this year’s New York Comic Con, to the visual development and approach to his work, and just how you could obtain one of his original pieces of art.
