So we finally caught up with Richard Rivera to do the drawing for the 9.8 CBCS Signed Stabbity Bunny #1. All you had to do was come up with a name for Stabbity’s little girl’s puppy.
The name had to be good and the breed had to be drawable, because, the winner’s dog name and breed are going into the book in a later issue. Yup, not only does the winner get a sweet slabbed book, but gets to create a character for the book. So, on to the winner! What up CHU!?! Shawn B. back with another One Year Later round up, where we take a look at some of the comics that Anthony, Mel and Poyo specced on one year ago. Their specs turn out to be quick flips, slow burns, straight up misses, straight up winners and on and on. Sometimes they spec with their hearts out of their passion for comics. Sometimes they spec based on data. And sometimes they spec based off the word on the street. Either way, all their specs appeal to a few or many collectors whether it is due to them having similar taste in writing or art, or just an opportunity for a collector to flip a book and make money to “support their habit”. Dark Nights Metal has been a huge success for DC. It features the return of a beloved character (we released the spoilers but don’t want to give it away if you haven’t seen it yet.) The Dark Knights Metal Midnight Release Variant sold out at comic shops, for those that got it, and dried up at Midtown yesterday before the release of the book. Totally Awesome Hulk #22  is out today and doing very well. Why wouldn’t it, it features the first appearance of Weapon H, a Hulk Wolverine Hybrid. These guys have been great together since Incredible Hulk #181 (yeah, I know, Wolverine met Hulk in #180 too.)
