Awesome Con 2019 Washington DC Dates and Guest Line-Up

The seventh annual Awesome Con by LeftField Media, the Mid-Atlantic’s premier pop culture convention, will unite 80,000 fans of comics, technology and science, television and film, custom art, over-the-top cosplay, and more at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center from Friday, April 26 through Sunday, April 28, 2019. The convention floor and panel rooms will buzz with hundreds of hours’ worth of programs including: celebrities and experts hosting panels and exclusive reveals; cosplay fashion shows; gaming tournaments; iconic pop culture memorabilia collections; and as always, a diverse array of activities for the whole family. Rich Sabine Covers Widow #2 In The Milo Manara Impossible Pose

A while back Marvel got backlash for Spider-Woman being drawn by Italian artist Milo Manara in what was described as an impossible pose. Frank Cho took up the reins and ran with it. Strange Comic History: The Spawn Crossover That Happened in Previews

Here is an interesting bit of comic history, the popular character Spawn was supposed to crossover into Continuity Comics Valeria The She-Bat back in 1993. This would have seen Spawn drawn by comic legend Neal Adams. Spawn was to appear in issues 3 and 4 of the Valeria series. This would have been one of the earliest Spawn Crossovers and perhaps the first time Spawn appeared in a comic by another company (barring the ad that appeared in Rust #1). So if you are a Spawn fan, you would want to get your hands on these, right? Unfortunately the cross over never happened. Read on for the full history.
